Although not well sign posted when heading back to Hobart, did a U-turn and found this beautiful cellar door

We had a very enjoyable tasting at Kate Hill Wines. The cellar door is in a nice setting. Kate was present for part of our tasting and added to the quality of the tasting. The woman who led us through the tasting was very friendly, informative and set a relaxed pace. They don't have a long wine list but we easily found wines that we enjoyed, particularly the Sav Blanc and Estate Pinot Noir.

During our recent trip to Hobart we were introduced to Kate Hill’s Pinot Noir at a local bar… wow 🤩 what an amazing drop.

Stunning little winery with very knowledgeable staff, I was lucky enough to meet the winemaker. It’s just a small cellar door but the wines are excellent. On arrival we first had a tasting and then chose a bottle to enjoy with views over the vineyard and Sleeping Beauty (mountain range) in the background.

Visited the winery cellar door this week, and was greeted by Bonnie. Very nice tasting, and discussion on wine styles and tastes - as I like to do. Joined by Kate, where she added more informative banter and discussion about wine styles and regions. These two ladies were very generous as stated in other reviews ( which is why we chose a tasting at KHW). They then helped us with some local knowledge and activities. 10/10 for wine quality and really made our visit a standout while we were visiting in Hobart. Guy and Julie from Henley Beach South SA

My wife, I and our friends travelled to Hobart in early March and visited Kate Hill Wines. Kate shared her knowledge of wine making and the complexities of each wine she made. It is one of the few wineries we purchased a dozen bottles of wines. I highly recommend a visit to Kate Hill Wines. My favourite was the Pinot Noir 2015.

Very yummy wines, great tasting experience. Pinots full of plum and lipsmacking creamy cherry, Riesling made me smile. Adorable winery dog and the owner is lovely.

The location is beautiful, Kate was very friendly, and the wine is superb. We ended up taking the sparkling Pinot Chardonnay, but it was a very difficult choice. A must-do when going through the Huon Valley.

Great wines, good views, and a 12/10 winery dog.

Good. They need more signs or bigger signs or brighter signs. You have turn off the main road - for all of 200m. That was the best 200m driving investment I have made.

Kate is a legend. Very friendly and is a maker of some great wines! Worth a drop in!
