Huon Jet

I did this tour in 1990 and have just done it again with the family. So much fun, great to have John our driver.explain about the river system as well as give us all a great time.

You don't get too wet with the spins and turns but you might get a few splashes.

Booked this the day before over the phone very easy going and was handled well. Very easy check In and we didn’t have to wait long. Was super exciting with the spins and rapids along the way! And we learnt some things along the way too. We even had the extra added adventure of cow rescue 😂

This tour lasts for about 40 minutes. Captain takes you upstream the Huon river in his jet boat, talks about what’s around us, does a few spin tricks and takes you back. It was a bit cloudy and chilly when we went but good fun never the less. On a sunny day with not much wind, reflection on this dark water would have looked amazing.

Such an awesome experience. Loved every minute of it. Martin is a very skillful operator. What a thrill. Will highly recommend the jet boat trip. The food at the cafe is delicious.

A great experience, going up river, doing some 360’s and pointing out the amazing flora and fauna. A must do while in the Huon Valley. They have a nice cafe there too.

The river was so beautiful and the water jet was both exciting and fun. We had a 15 and a 8 year old, both loved the ride so much. It’s the best experience we had in Tas. Definitely not to be missed.

You won’t regret it. Went with my family (ranging from 5-70yrs old) and we felt exhilarated, safe and entertained the whole time. Martin is funny, friendly and knowledgeable. Don’t miss this treat.

Amazing experience. Not as scary when doing it than watching the videos on others doing it. About 13 km upstream ride, annotated by close manoeuvres at fast speed and thrilling 360 degree turns. Highly recommended.

Today my wife and I went exploring Southern Tassie by car and ended up in Huonville. Quaint town and very picturesque. We stopped by the Huon River to find something to do for the afternoon and came across the Huon Jet Boat experience.

Ticket price was well worth the jet boat experience we went on. From our arrival the staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly and our Jet boat driver and owner Johnny was a great bloke.

Approx 35 to 40 minute Jet boat trip along the Huon River taking in the amazing scenery at high speed, loaded with thrills and excitement, racing through submerged logs, through trees at the river edge, many high speed 360's and racing through low flowing rocky rapids. Fun and exciting way to spend time together on a wonderful day in Tassie.

How good is this nice operators on a lovely river informative as well as great fun, money(reasonable)and a half hours drive from Hobart well worth it .

Great activity for most ages, great commentary during stops, fast speeds and great spins, loved by all on board boat, great restaurant for meals on site also.

The Boat shed is always a wonderful place to visit The Rasin Toast is a must.
