Delicious food, I come from Gippsland where there’s a lot of bakery’s and this is one of the best places I’ve been to. Great service, really lovely people to deal with, and the food they cook up is amazing, the bread they use is always fresh, egg and bacon rolls are incredible, ham and cheese toasties are unique and one of the best I’ve ever had. Coffee is always spot on. If you haven’t been here you’re missing out.

Very friendly staff who are always happy to help. We bought a continental cake for birthday. Was absolutely delicious. Price is very reasonable. Highly recommend for both dine in and take away.

Fast and efficient service. You think it’s busy but there are plenty of staff on hand to get through the orders. Sandwich bar is consistently good quality and good pricing. Cakes and pastries are great too. Have often ordered a bunch of sandwiches for family gatherings and afternoon teas and they are always fresh and a hit with everyone - “mmmmm these are nice, where did you get them?”

Best place for meat pies, pastries and other light food.
Have not had better meat pies anywhere than at this place and very good value for price.
Can tell a good place by the number of older people 70+ years who keep coming back over the years and spend a lot of time there.
Service is quick, friendly and the coffee is good.

After driving around all day, I was starving. Luckily, I stumbled across this place. Meat pie ( steak only and steak and onion) were delicious. Surpassed all expectations. Coffee was also decent. Prices were very attractive also . Will definitely come back.
Service was also prompt and friendly.

Hands down the best cafe I’ve been to in the Port Melbourne area. Staff were so friendly and very fast service. Ordered the sausage roll which came out freshly baked and that hit the spot. My mate ordered the Schnitzel roll and fair to say I’ve never seen him eat so fast in my life. Great dessert selections as well all of which are made fresh every day. Would definitely recommend and will be back:)

Two cakes are fine, but this custard & raspberry pie is so awesome even it's hard to eat&cut. The young woman served me was so kind. Resonable price in Melbourne, comfy vibe.

Yummy desserts and pastries. Coffee was good too. The outlet was busy when I went there around 12:45pm. Looks like a popular bakery to go to. Loved the pastries. Gobbled most of them before I could take a shot. Reasonably priced and decent food. They have build your own sandwich and roll service, which is essential for picky eaters.

Every time I travel to Melbourne I have breakfast here. Great food and coffee with taste. Very friendly and helpful staff

We have visited the Melbourne Bakehouse numerous times for breakfast. We love the old fashioned hospitality, great food and reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this venue.

Great place for good desserts and nice coffee. Very generous serving too which is nice. Apart from the great variety of cakes and good coffee is the exemplary customer service. This is why we keep going back and I even get cakes for work functions here. The barista really embodies amazing customer service. If you want to see how good customer service should be delivered, get yourself down there!

I visited this establishment for the first time 10 days ago. Apart from great food and competitive prices, what impressed me more than anything else was the polite manner in which management and staff spoke to patrons. By that I don't mean only the regulars but me a stranger. Good manners are free, but a genuine greeting is indeed very rare these days. Thank you.
