Australia Post - Brighton North Post Shop

This Post Office would have to have the sweetest entrance of all the Post Offices I've been to - Moorabbin, Hampton, Cheltenham, Highett, Bentleigh, Southland, Melbourne and more. Please buy some stamps and send a letter!

I love this Post Office. They are so friendly and helpful. I was so surprised to see the bad reviews as they do everything to help you. The brighton collection place at the back is awesome, they remember your name and they are always smiling. PS. I also understand how frustrating it is to collect a parcel when you have been home all day, but having a go at the staff is pointless. It is not their fault. My suggestion would be to make a complaint online, if you are so passionate about it.

I have been coming for 3 years and love the staff here in the Brighton DC collection point and in the main shop front. They are super friendly and remember you. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews but I've personally always had a great experience and go there weekly.

Had a great experience, parking on location, quick service, opening hours for parcel pick up are 1pm to 6pm, staff was very pleasant, offered the use of their trolley.

Super nice and helpful shop. Looks like a lot of the reviews are for the collection center which is a separate entity behind the post shop. The staff in the post shop are actually super nice and helpful.

Very helpful with passport applications even though I just dropped in with no appointment.

Most of my mail gets sent here if I am not in to accept delivery. Friendly staff, with low turnover so they all get to know customers after a while.

A public service attitude displayed by the tenured assistants, but when you've managed to make plain what you want in a manner acceptable to the public service - ah, it's a left-over public service, isn't it - then things will progress at their satisfied pace. Don't queue in the wrong place, un-indicated, or you'll be reprimanded. But satisfactory enough.

Just had a delivery man NOT even attempt to deliver my parcel. This happens time and time again.
There were 5 trades men who offered to ring my door bell.
Lazy lazy driver.
Then I call Australia post and after waiting online I conveniently get disconnected.
Why why do we pay Australia post to deliver when they make zero effort to do their job.

Just be aware that the Brighton post offices don’t leave packages at the door anymore. If you aren’t home you have to go to the male street depot to pick up your item which could take a really long time because people are waiting to pick up there parcels. I would suggest waiting outside your house to pick up your item. That way if the driver drives off you can get the licenses plate number and dob them in.

Rude staff and made me pay for postage when dropping off to Brighton North PO Box. $15 to walk 10 steps. Unbelievable.
