Tahbilk Estate Restaurant

Lunch on the deck overlooking the wetlands was a lovely experience. The food was delicious and presented in an appealing way.

Had a wonderful time here celebrating my birthday!
The restaurant itself was lovely, the food interesting and delicious and the service very friendly.
Unfortunately I forgot the name of our waitress but she had blue and pink split dyed hair. Anyway, she did a great job and answered all our questions happily.
We had the special Good Friday 2 course meal including one glass of wine for $65 pp. This was very reasonable, we were just a bit sad that the wine that was included in that price didn't necessarily include something we liked 100% so we went with the next best and then in addition ordered a bottle of moscato which we highly enjoyed. The pink moscato was so delicious!
We had a variety of food between us 4.
We tried the lemon and sage pasta, the roast lamb, the truffle croquettes, the meat platter and the cheese board.
We were very satisfied with everything. We honestly had such a great time with our friends here. After our lunch we headed for a walk behind the restaurant looking at the wine fields.
We are not from the area but we will certainly return when we are again! 🍷🧀🥖

Beautiful outlook over the river, had the lamb blackstrap, my wife the Angus filet steak, both perfectly cooked, friendly staff, relaxed environment, wine paired with meal was perfect

The lunch was outstanding! We were seated with a view over the water, the service was timely and our Waitress Kristy was warm , welcoming and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a 2 course meal which was delicious paired with a bottle of Marsanne and then headed off with Bob for the eco boat tour of the Billabong. We had a great time, thank you for having us!

Had a fantastic experience at Tahbilk Winery, thanks to Holly at the cellar door. Her in-depth knowledge of wines and the winery's history made the visit memorable. Highly recommend her service for an enjoyable wine-tasting experience.

The quality of and serving size of the food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and engaging and the setting above the billabong is beautiful.

I had such a refreshing experience at this establishment all the staff were kind and super accommodating.The interior design was simplistic but beautiful and the food was truly breathtaking. Would happily recommend this restaurant to all.

A wonderfully peaceful setting. We sat overlooking the river on a hot day. Shade cloth, an umbrella and trees protected us from the sun and an ingenious system of sprays kept most of the flies at bay. I had crisp pork belly that was as flavoursome as I have ever had. Delicious. Watching birds and listening to their song kept us entertained over lunch.

The service was incredible!! Our son is anaphylactic to dairy and eggs (and as bad parents we forgot his food for lunch) and the staff went over and above to write on the menu all the options for him and even how they could modify options that would otherwise not be suitable.

Then when the food was delivered, it was nothing short of spectacular!! The lamb and the citrus tart were amazing in particular.

Then to top it all off, the view from the balcony looking over the wetlands is amazing.

We went to the restaurant today to join in the celebrations for Edie Fuhrmann's 100th birthday.
Everything was great will definitely recommend to friends.

Overlooking the stunning wetlands, this restaurant offers wonderful food concentrating on local produce. It's high end stuff, not cafe food, and made for a substantial lunch. Book ahead to get a table on the balcony to see the wetlands at their finest.
The wine matching is, as you'd expect at Tahbilk, excellent, and the service is friendly and knowledgeable.

This restaurant is located in the Tahbilk vineyard estate and is in a beautiful natural setting beside, and overlooking, the Goulburn River estuary.
The menu is not extensive but, probably because of that, the food is really good, and, of course, the local vineyard wine is in harmony with the food.
All in all, a very pleasant and satisfying dining experience.
The restaurant was nearly a victim of the recent floods and it's of concern to see just how close the flood level came. Entry has changed to the north entrance and is reasonably well signposted.
Prices are reasonable and there is some discount on wine both in the restaurant and the cellar door for Tahbilk members.

Had a awesome time yesterday for my husbands birthday. The service was fantastic + the meals superb.

Really nice food and atmosphere overlooking the billabong

I cannot commend the staff at this restaurant enough. The service, the food, the energy that they give the atmosphere is amazing. If you’re reading through reviews and looking for a sign to book now this is it. The staff work closely with the chefs to ensure your dietary needs are met if any, their food is of the highest quality and the friendliest staff. I’ve dined her numerous times, nothing has ever disappointed. Vegetarian / Vegan friendly, a nice glass of vino to go with lunch, the paired wine with the meal always goes a treat! I cannot emphasise this enough, book now if you haven’t already and you’ll be able to experience the things I’ve listed above. You won’t be disappointed. You often go to places that have great food or great service, it’s a rarity to find something that has both. They compliment each other so well that results in an all around amazing atmosphere. The amazing deals they have on their boxes of wine you can buy at the restaurant is amazing too!! Already looking forward to my next booking!

Wow! What can I say? Country hospitality at it's best! The atmosphere was an amazing experience. It was my first time there, and definitely not my last! Kristie, our server went above and beyond, making sure we were satisfied in every way! Her recommendations were superb. The food was scrumptious, fresh and oh did I mention scrumptious? Wines were exquisite! We dined in the outdoor area and the views were fantastic! People, this one to put on your list! It's a must!
