On Lee

Travelling with a group of colleagues, we opted to do an impromptu variation from the standard pub grub. Walking in you are welcomed in to a setting that is elegant and friendly. A large area that still manages to feel intimate. The other diners were a mixed batch of moms on a group dinner, couples on a date, travellers grabbing dinner for takeaway and groups sitting down for a 3 course meal. A lot of laughter and great food. Pricing is very affordable and quite modest considering the portion sizes and quality. Will definately be back.

Some recent poor reviews has compelled me to write a positive one. We ordered takeaway and everything went perfectly; prices were reasonable, service was prompt and courteous and the food was fantastic. We ordered the homemade dim sims, spring rolls, special fried rice and bbq plum pork. Everything tasted very fresh, authentic and homemade. A very happy and impressed customer travelling from out of town. 😊 👌🏻

We had a cheeky Chinese on our last night in town for a work trip & were very pleasantly surprised to find some of the best Aussie style Chinese I have ever eaten.

We had our dishes family style & ordered between four people:

Mixed Entree
Singapore Noodles
Special Fried Rice
Satay Chicken
Chicken with Ginger & Shallots
Mongolian (I think) Lamb (maybe beef????)
S&S Pork

Everything was packed with flavour & the portion sizes were generous. We ended up with left overs which we had for a weird breakfast the next morning before we left at stupid o'clock.

The staff were lovely. Everyone friendly & cheerful & I really liked watching them interact with the customers who were obviously regular locals. They asked about family members & chatted about milestone events that were coming up. True country town stuff & it was really nice to witness. Having said that, they were just as kind to us (not local) too & asked how we were enjoying Narrabri (they seemed pleased when we told them we were charmed by their town & the people).

The only Chinese restaurant around to experience nice and authentic Chinese food. It's a nice and big family restaurant. You can enjoy starters and drinks, noodles, rice and so on. I really loved the Singaporean noodle, it's just mouth watering. I will guarantee that you will be having a satisfied smile on your face while you are going out.

Passing thru Narrabri. Was recommended by Sky Caravan Park. Ordered a take away.

Passing through Narribri for the night (Saturday) and 8 of us stopped in for dinner after being recommended it. We had an early sitting but the place soon was full. Still the staff coped easily. Food was excellent and fresh. We had many different dishes and could not fault any of them. Massive compliments to the friendly staff and also the owners who came out to the table. Was a really nice surprise find!

Very good food, very quick and was happy to accommodate with a slight change to a meal. It is clearly a town favourite as it was busy and everyone was greeted and farewelled as friends would. A online menu would have been helpful so I have attached photos of the take away menu

The food is very good. We were able to eat very good honey chicken. And the service is very good. They are very kind. Thanks to you, we were able to have a good time.

Garlic King Prawns, Beef with Vegetables & Special Fried Rice, absolutely delicious.
Will differently return when we are in Narrabri again.
Will be letting all our caravan friends know to come here.

Visited back in April. Best Chinese through out our whole country road trip. We arrived early for dinner. Lovely owner led us to the best seating next to their awesome aquarium. Boys took lots of selfies of course. We ordered honey chicken, roast duck and veggies. Each dish tastes delicious! That beautifully explains why On Lee has run success for over 30 years! On Lee is definitely a reason we’ll be visiting Narrabri again.

Warm and cosy on a cold night, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious.
