Narrabri Region Visitor Information Centre

Friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to find out very specific local and regional information for us. Up to date information from personal experience on local road conditions. Excellent display on the region, and especially informative on cotton. My very reluctant to read 12 year old thoroughly enjoyed the experience and displays and the clever design sparked her curiosity to read and learn. Amenities were modern and clean. Ample parking in the shade. Very interesting things to buy as well.

Great information, worth the visit. Learned a lot about the area, what was grown and planting cycles. Even got to sit in a cotton harvester!

A nice stop with informative displays. Lots of parking and clean facilities to use. Picnic tables close by. I used it as a bit of a pit stop on our long drive. If I had the time there is lots to explore in this town. Information centre is a good spot to start. Friendly staff.

It's always nice to visit the Narrabri visitor centre for a stop and toilet break. The roads are long and empty out here and the staff are always friendly to travellers. It pays to keep up with the latest information in the area.

Thank you to the ladies that helped us, we had a great time. We are now planning a trip to this area, instead of stopping as we pass through on our way to somewhere else.

Narrabri Shire Visitor's Information Centre is located in modern purpose built building Coach and caravan parking is available in a spacious drive through area behind the building and adjacent to a lovely park with shade and BBQ facilities.

The friendly volunteers assisted us with information on so many activities in the region plus information on many other towns we were curious about visiting or might like to see on our travels. We got a lot of very useful information to help us.

The visitor information centre has all the usual maps, information about local events and tourist attractions, as well as local craft and historic photos on display.

However, located in the same complex is a huge cotton harvester (amazing to see close up). There is a very comfortable lounge to sit in the cool and read the information provided or watch a short film about the area . There are several other very interesting informative and well presented displays about industry and tourist activites in the Narrabri Shire, so we actually spent well over an hour looking around the free displays.

The toilet facilities in this complex are very good and appear to be well maintained.

Well worth stopping. Staff are friendly. Toilet facilities inside building. Displays on local industry are excellent. There are local made produce for sale. Pottery, olls, jams and souvenirs.

Although I did not go inside, around the back in a garden bed is a tap for filling water tanks. I had a cube (IBC) which I filled for a group camp. The water was so clear. Just remember to have a hose with fittings.

The team there are very knowledgeable and friendly. Good info on road closures. Good info and times and locations of attractios. Toilets clean and well stocked. Nice display of local gifts and products.

Very helpful and friendly staff when we called in for some information this morning,also got directions to the local recycling centre to get rid of our weeks supply of bottles and boxes ! The products on sale were great too. Thank you 😊
