Beautiful and quiet area. You can really see the lake in pink colour. It's a short gravel walk from parking area to the lake. There's free wifi at this lake. A few signages to inform of this lake coloration, info on salt formation and map. They have a lochness statue in the lake probably to monitor water level. There's a small lookout area and also a big frame for one to take photos.

Cute little rest stop, no water when we went but was still really nice to have a look and kids had a chance to run around

10April2023 Been on my bucket list for so long …am so happy to have it finally ✅after driving 2hrs north of Adelaide. We were on a business trip and this is a gem getaway while in South Australia. I am stoked to find this beautiful Pink Salt Lake just along Augusta Highway in a quaint town of Lochiel… nature at its best; God is really an artist…. free entrance just make sure you have the sun shining & bright/white clouds as your backdrop. Beyond words for this God’s wonderful creation😇

A beautiful pink lake - its colors do vary a bit depending on the clouds, time of day, season and rain.

Excellent spot to stop with room to park and rest on a long drive.

Breath taking view from the deck. Late Oct to Early Dec is the best time to visit this pink lake. In the middle of summer, you'll see only white salt plain, and gray water only in winter. Don't forget to bring polarized sungrasses or filter for your camera or phone to reduce reflection.

Such a large stunning pink lake, we never new it existed until driving past! Has multiple areas for stopping and a public toilet a short 2 minute walk from the main car park (you need to walk over the highway). A beautiful view to take in and I’m not disappointed about stopping for it to take in the view. On the drier days you can even walk on the lake to the “monster”

Amazing view. But notice, you can’t swim here, so quit your swimsuit Lol 😝. Seasonal site. During winter, the lake or raining season, the lake may not be pink. But if you come in summer, better prepare yourself from a swamp of flies.

Perfect. We visited on September 24, 2023. The lake is pink! Prepare for lots of flies.

Great place to stop by on a road trip. The lake was pink, the salt felt like snow aswell. Lots of flys though which is really annoying.

The water in the lake had receded a lot sine I saw in last September. Lovely to see the monster again

We were lucky to see the lake with a beautiful pink hue. We had previously seen the pink lake in north WA & were not expecting to see this one on the way to Port Augusta, so were surprised & impressed. Well worth the short stroll down to the viewing area.

The pink 💗 salt lake is a beautiful lake to take a walk on and find small or large mounds of pink salt.
This salt lake produces such a fine powdery salt, the salt texture makes it perfect for a body salt scrub

Our very own Loch Ness Monster in the Mid North called Loch Eel. AWESOME!!! Don't miss out. Visit this place with your family.

The lake is really pink as far as the eye can see. It was an amazing view and also able to walk on the dry pink bed floor.

Worth stopping at the pink salt lake-looks amazing in a good day. I wander who came up with the idea of snake sculptures made from tyres

It's not white right not, due to winter rain but the reflections are breathtaking. The springs are also running and that's good news for farmers.

They have done a very nice job with the lake monster viewing area and platform. Nice info boards now too.

Well worth the stop to stretch the legs. Public facilities are new, clean, and well maintained.
