Dr Vicki Yin is a knowledgeable, thorough and very approachable OBGYN with great bedside manner. She handled my first pregnancy as a high-risk mother with chronic health conditions, genetic health conditions and gestational diabetes with professionalism and a grounded collaborative approach. She would happily liaise with my many other specialists who oversaw my pre-pregnancy and pregnancy health needs to find the best avenue for my care. She was friendly and very patient with all of my and my husband’s queries at appointments and valued my preferences and input for my intention for a natural birth. She kept an keen eye on my high-risk pregnancy and when any anomaly of results appeared she would not hesitate to organise further investigation to ensure our and her piece of mind. Due to unforeseen circumstances during labour, I decided to opt last minute for an emergency C-section to ensure our little one came out safe and healthy. Dr Yin performed this at Mitcham Private. The surgery went quickly and smoothly and Dr Yin’s incision scar is incredibly neat and straight and I feel very lucky to have been in such professional hands.
Throughout the pregnancy there were many other ways Dr Vicki Yin displayed an exceptional level of organisation, a healthy level of caution and a custom detail-oriented approach for my pregnancy needs as well as after surgery visits in my hospital room and at the follow-up 6 week post-partum appointment. She is supported by incredible staff at Dr Chew and associates’ rooms - in particular Vivienne and Dawn who went out of their way to assist me with numerous paper work for parental leave and general advice and assistance. If you are looking for an intelligent, friendly and thorough Obstetrician or Gynaecologist, I highly recommend Dr Vicki Yin.
