Jai Ho Indian Restaurant Richmond

We conducted my husband's birthday party at Jai Ho Richmond. Saurabh was incredibly helpful and easy to deal with from the planning to execution on the day and very accommodating with our needs. He provided a mic and speaker, advised on best parking spots around the restaurant, assisted in hooking up my laptop to the TV for a slide show presentation and on which dishes would be best enjoyed by our guests. The restaurant was perfect for our group of 40 with a lovely ambience and decor. Food was thoroughly enjoyed by all, served on time, with three entrees, three mains served with rice, naan, raita and salad and dessert. Throughout the function Saurabh was on hand, ready to assist ensuring the function ran smoothly. Feedback from guests has been positive, they all had a wonderful time, many thanks to Saurabh and the team at Jai Ho Richmond for making hubby's 50th a memorable one. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had dinner there last night (Saturday) and it was brilliant. Fast service (we were there early when it wasn't crowded), some of the best Indian food we've ever had, and pleasant background music. $105 for 2 x entrees, 2 x mains, 2 x servings of rice, 2 x Naan Breads & a glass of wine was excellent value.

The constant stream of delivery riders coming in for takeaway orders is an indication of how popular their food is.

All round a great experience and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Highly recommended.

Saurabh and his team catered our wedding in Jan and they hit the ball out of the park! The food was amazing - all our guests were raving about it for days after. Saurabh was so helpful and pragmatic in helping us design our day and he really nailed our vision for the food and how it would be served etc.

No one went home hungry and it was just amazing. Thanks guys, absolutely amazing!

Heard a lot about this place and it was good to finally make it for dinner with a group of friends.. lot of options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians with a good mix of different drinks as well.. food was very good and tasty and well sized portions with decent pricing.. spacious place with ample dining capacity.. the vegetarian platter could have been a lot better with the choice of inclusions and wasn't as great as the non vegetarian platter... only area of improvement as such was the wait time to serve the food from the time of ordering, it took very long for our food to arrive and though it was worth the wait the wait time between our starters n main course killed our hunger! A good experience overall ...

I recently had an outstanding dining experience at Jai Ho Richmond. The food was exceptional, and what truly set it apart was the impeccable service provided by Saurab . From start to finish, he went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our visit was enjoyable. The bonus was the fantastic location, adding to the overall charm of the place. I highly recommend this spot for a memorable meal with top-notch service.

Overall experience was excellent. Food was delicious and the staff was also very friendly throughout. Loved the butter chicken and dal makhni. One of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne!!

Loved the food, loved the ambiance, good collection of music. Parking can be an issue at time but it worth paying a trip this restaurant. Prices are a bit high but i guess quality has a price. Good place to bring kids who like to eat desi food. Drinks options are good. Loved the lassi and the vanilla shake.

I was wandering around Richmond with my partner quite hungry and relatively later at night. Everyone else around was quite expensive, but Jai Ho was on the cheaper side so i decided to go in. I was greeted with such a lovely team of staff members. The owner, Saab (i believe) was really friendly, and we had a lovely chat about Richmond life and he taught me a bit about Indian food and culture. It was really lovely to walk in and have that interaction. The waitress was also super friendly and nice. The wait was not long at all and the food was delicious. The tandori chicken was really good, special shout out to the tandori chicken and the butter chicken was also really yum. Glad i could find a homey feeling, relatively cheap, friendly restaurant in a neighbourhood with quite expensive alternatives comparatively. nice joint, dont go richmond much but if i did this place would be somewhere id go fairly often.

Really amazing place. Loved the Panner butter masala, felt like good gingery flavoured curry. Also Rumali roti was really good as well. Can come back here again.

Fantastic restaurant! Saab and the team treated us to such an incredible dining, meal and experience. Jaiho is an absolute no brainer in Melbourne.

Came in impromptu on a Monday night and sadly were the only people in there. However the food was incredible. Been trying to find some decent Indian food since moving to Melbourne and not really succeeded yet. What I loved was that it was no frills and full of flavour. No bland creamy tasteless curries, instead there were mustard seeds, lots of herbs, and chilli!
Expect that this will become our regular place when we get the urge for some Indian food now.

Delicious food! Great service, the waiter was very attentive but also left us to dine alone for most of the meal-which is what we'd prefer! The Kashmiri dishes were delicious - we had the naan, rice and curry. As well as a lovely Korma curry all to share. The restaurant is clean and spacious and was quiet on the Wednesday night that we went. You can pay by card and the voucher for a buy one main meal get one free was great from the Entertainment Book! We also had a mango smoothie-I wish I had known it would come with cream on top but my husband ate that so it didn't really matter. It also wasn't very thick so went so quickly between two of us, considering it did cost $8(i think). Overall I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and would go back myself!

Absolutely amazing experience. We had baby shower party here. The food was extremely good, service was quick and easy, interior is beautiful with the wallpapers and lamps, plenty of space, nice ambience. Flexible to work around one's need for parties. I highly recommend this restaurant. A must try for everyone!!

The catered for an event at the Lady Cutler boat in Docklands. The food was superb, tasty & well seasoned. Staff are very friendly and hard working.

Delicious Indian food! I eat mostly vegetarian and would recommend Malai kofta, eggplant curry and Rumali roti.. generally you have to hike to different for a best particular curry /bread. These guys are great at holding that bit well and I am sure I will be back many times..

Jai Ho is my new favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne .The service of this restaurant is too good rather then others .They also had offer almost 15different bread varieties to mop up the delicious curries, favourite was the chilli and garlic naan. Spice level can be tweaked for those with varying tastes and Jai Ho has a large drink selection to quench your thirst. Give the masala soda a go! Will definitely be back . I highly recommend to people who loves Indian food.

I had a wonderful experience at JAI HO restaurant. The food was delicious, authentic and flavorful. I ordered Malai Kofta from the vegetarian section and Lamb Rogan Josh from the non-vegetarian variety with garlic naan and plain naan. The Malai Kofta was creamy, rich and melt-in-your-mouth. The Lamb Rogan Josh was tender, spicy and aromatic. The naans were fresh, soft and buttery. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The service was friendly, attentive and fast. The ambiance was cozy, elegant and inviting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian cuisine or wants to try something new and exciting.

We went with a big group of 13 on Saturday. Food and service was par excellence. We all enjoyed and would highly recommend. Saurabh and team are doing a remarkable job! Thanks to the entire team for such a wonderful experience!
