Australia Post - East Melbourne Post Shop

I have been served by the lovely people here for at least 8 years now. Clearly one of the best Auspost outlets. First and foremost we got to consider it as part of the community and give some compassion to people working here too.

Feedback is always taken well too. Thank you so much for serving the community very well.

never given too much thought about Australia Post before the pandemic, opened Post Shop Account after the pandemic and frequently made online shopping in the past 18 months, the deliveries and services is the second to none compared with many other courier companies in the market. keep up the great work!

Came in at lunchtime to finalise my WWC documentation, and the lady serving (So sorry I have forgotten her name) was so efficient, helpful and friendly. She skilfully juggled my enquiry and assisted three other customers at the same time. My entire visit was maybe 10mins but it was great to see the level of service.

Woeful. Poor communication, I’m always home when the deliverer miraculously misses me (for sure they’re not bothering to deliver) and then the woman at the post office complains she has to work. In December she told me she was dreading the Christmas parcels and hoped interests rates went up to stop people from buying gifts and using their services. Clearly not my business but it may be time to quit?

Unfortunately this is my local PO and I have to use it pretty frequently. The older lady working here has up there with the worst customer service demeanour I’ve ever seen.

Everything goes straight into the too hard basket, from buying stamps to collecting a parcel. Don’t even think about posting something fragile and politely requesting some ‘FRAGILE’ tape - I was scoffed at and told “NO, we don’t have tape! We are not a fragile service! You need to do that yourself or go elsewhere” - lovely.

Truly the worst service I’ve encountered anywhere in my entire life. I’m convinced these people get together each morning and plan how they can be so horrible to anyone entering the door. I get anxious anytime I need to collect a parcel.

There have been issues with more than 50% of the parcels I have had delivered in the last year and the staff at this post office are never sympathetic and do not offer any solutions leaving me to call Australia post or make online complaints to have issues resolved.

Issues have included
- parcels being delivered to the wrong address
- delivery person does not knock or leave a slip
- post office closing 5-10minutes early
- being informed my parcel is at the post office and then when I get there it is not

In my opinion Australia post is a terribly inefficient company with staff poorly trained to manage.

Rude staff members! Publicly shamed and talked about someone for lining up on the wrong side. “Idk why people do that”, “oh it must be the moon or something”, “it’s one of those days!” yes, hi, i can hear everything. Very professional of you two

Service needs improvement and should be open Saturday morning as they continue to mis deliver parcels

Worst staff, rude and bossy. The staff at this post office act like they run the world. Legit shocking business.

Walked in to pick up a package that was obviously not delivered due to laziness, there was no one at the front counter. Awhile later a lady with dark curly hair walked up and did not say one word to me, not even a hello.
Due to my ID having my real name and my package in my preferred name I was trying to show her proof that it was my package by showing her my AUSpost text and before I even finished speaking she cut me off and called it ‘irrelevant’. I then tried to show her my email again getting cut off by her saying it was ‘irrelevant’.
While I did have my package in a different name and never having an issue picking up at another post office before, I understand needing more evidence to proof the package is mine however this ladies attitude was disgusting.
I myself have been working in customer service for 6 years now and I would never not greet someone when they walk in let alone telling someone with an issue that ‘it’s irrelevant’

I had a HORRIBLE experience at this store, all the staff were so UNHAPPY, you can feel the hate and hostility all around the place, I was only here to post a parcel, staff looked like they were about to stab me in my eyes. An old lady discriminated me because I didn’t bring a pen myself, if you don’t offer pens for customers to write, PUT UP A SIGN !! or simply open your mouth and tell people !!
If you want to be treated with condescending and dismissive attitude, come to THIS Au Post, they will never disappoint you.

Will never use this post office again and recommend you all not to either. Lady with dark curly hair wearing glasses was rude to the customer before me who’s first language was not English, as well as myself and proceeded to argue the coins which were very clearly scratched were not. Needs to learn values of customer service or wake up on the right side of the bed and not take out her issues on everyone else!

Worse Australian Post office service in Melbourne and the staff works there they are all unprofessional and very rude and very nasty they look like the witches of Eastwick I highly don’t recommend it at all !!!
