Northcote Police Station

Fantastic service! was just helping a friend to locate an uncontactable person last night. The police officers performed a welfare check and replied me immediately.

The certification person was so kind and quick. Service was easy and I was out again in 5 minutes (that being said, it was quiet when I went)

on two occasions over 18 months the members here have done outstanding work for me pursuing two separate issues where undesirables have tried to evade the law and do the wrong thing. thank you.

I went to pick up my lost wallet on the weekend and the service was prompt and efficient.

Mixed bag...Usually nothing is really resolved but everyone I've dealt with is friendly and approachable. Also extremely efficient in removing the mentally ill beggar from the Station St intersection.

Was told that people are not allowed to leave notes on peoples cars asking them politely if they could move their car since it was out the front for almost a month. Then rang the council and council said yes you are allowed. Rang the northcote police station back spoke to someone different and told me yes I can. These people know nothing they tell you want they wanna tell you and then it’s up to you to figure it out. If they’re the law best they start acting like it and have the right knowledge of the law. Some of these recruits might need a tune up.

I was unfortunate enough to be caught up in a road rage incident where someone pulled a hammer out of their car and threaten to smash my face in. It was broad daylight, there were probably 10 witnesses, and the whole thing was caught on surveillance footage by a nearby building (the owner confirmed this). I called the police immediately after the incident and have called back and emailed multiple times since.

They have made no effort to follow up, never took a formal statement and have not retrieved the security footage - despite me clearly telling them it existed and who to talk to collect it.
