A 5-star experience in every way! Delicious food. Pleasant wines. Professional friendly service. Modern decor throughout including the stunning hotel rooms each with a large balcony. Warm pool. Beautiful architecture, riverside settling and everything meticulously maintained. The incredible underground art gallery is full of colourful Aboriginal art of different styles. A very special place to visit. Stay overnight for maximum enjoyment.

My husband and I love The Muse Restaurant at Mitchelton Wines. We’ve been here many times now and the place never fails to impress! The staff are warm & friendly and the service is exceptional. The food and wine options are plentiful and we enjoyed a nice romantic dinner together to escape our busy lives. Highly recommend.

As a local wedding photographer it doesn't get much better than getting to work at Mitchelton. The venue is simply stunning everywhere you look with a wet weather option that is truly special! The staff are all amazing and happy to help with anything and the food is delicious. I always look forward to working at Mitchelton Wines and I can't wait to get back!

Celebrated our one year anniversary at Mitchelton. The food did not disappoint. Highly recommend the lamb shoulder and the triple cooked potatoes.

Attended a wedding here and the venue was absolutely stunning! It was a 40 degree day and we had the ceremony in the cellars which was perfect temperature for it.

Reception was set up professionally and the staff were extremely helpful with all our needs. If you are considering booking this place for a wedding I would not hesitate and get it quick, well worth it

Absolutely outstanding in every way. The Robin Boyd architecture has been respected and enhanced with incredibly sympathetic improvements and additions. The staff were absolutely first class, the food was plentiful and delicious and our cabin was beyond lovely. The whole experience - 4 days - was as good as it gets...and the wine... absolutely brilliant in every way. Bravo!

There is absolutely nothing I could fault about our stay at Mitchelton - everything absolutely exceeded our expectations. We went to celebrate my in-laws 80th birthdays. They arrived to a welcome bottle of champers in their room (after we had our welcome glass of Shiraz by the fire on arrival). We had dinner at Muse and they sung happy birthday when they brought out dessert. My barramundi was delicious. The grounds are beautifully kept, the underground gallery is definitely worth a look, breakfasts superb, day spa experience divine (we had the foot treatment). All of the staff were so friendly. Oh, and the wines delicious! We did the wine tasting and the Sparkling snd the Cabernet Sauvignon were our favourites. I would totally recommend to stay here and I would love to come back. Thank you for such a wonderful few days away.

We had the best 2-night stay at Mitchelton!
10/10! As we arrived we were greeted with exceptional hospitality at the front desk. Dinner at the Muse did not disappoint either nights! We had the chefs selection and also á la carte. The rainbow trout tartare stood out with the bush tomato - and all dishes were well presented, we had a great time. Extra credit to the restaurant f.o.h and kitchen staff!

The hotel room was elegant and filled with all you need. Balcony facing the pool was great!

Breakfast staff was very attentive, and we had beautiful smoked Murray cod scramble that really was perfectly made.

Not to mention the deck view from the tower at sunset! Very impressive.
Pool area is spacious and well organised. Order a cocktail and enjoy the peace.

We visited the Art Gallery on our last day, and Sonia helped us through all our questions. A must visit if you come out to Mitchelton, the art is absolutely breathtaking.

We borrowed the free e-bikes from reception after checkout and took a ride to Tahbilk Winery, 25 min bike ride with beautiful surroundings. Cheese plate and exceptional wines. Great little day-tour.

Overall we would love to recommend a few nights stay to truly unwind and relax to anyone! Great value, beautiful location and all wines are worth trying in a wine tasting!

We had the most wonderful stay at Mitchelton last weekend for our 20th wedding anniversary. It's such a beautiful property and the people, the service, the food and the wine makes it so special. From the minute we arrived we felt welcome and special; it's got a lovely relaxed but very five star feel. Our room was stunning with an amazing view over the pool to the river. The pool is great, there's a lovely walk beside the river. We had an exceptional dinner in Muse (the food and service were outstanding) and a delicious breakfast at The Provodore (the menu was fabulous and the food outstanding). We also had a treatment in the day spa which was wonderful. We cannot wait to go back, hopefully for a little longer next time.

A must visit when in nagambie, and a fantastic destination to plan the rest of your trip around. The cellar door and muse restaurant are always a cut above the rest, very reasonably priced menu items and a varied selection of quality wines. The winery grounds & gardens, underground cellar, art gallery and stunning observation tower are enough reason to make the trip over. Planning our stay at the hotel and spa for later this year!

My husband & I booked 2 nights getaway at Mitchelton Winery, no occasion, just to recharge and unwind. The grounds were lovely, everything in easy walking distance so no need to drive anywhere if you don’t want to. We hit an email upon booking to plan ahead hit meals and spa treatments if required. We left our run too late for spa treatment so book well ahead of time if you want yo pamper yourself. All the staff were lovely, would come back again. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay!! Another lovely stay at Mitchelton, it is my 3rd visit to Mitchelton and not my last either! It is so relaxing and peaceful here. Only a 1 night stay this time for my birthday, and it was made special by everyone. Delicious meals at Muse and The Provedore and the wine is fabulous! Also, I have previously had the spa treatments here and they are fantastic! Lovely staff too. :-)

Mitchelton winery is a large estate that also houses a hotel, restaurant, cafe, gallery and superb grounds located on the river. The winery itself has a great cellar door that has ample room for groups, couples or solos. The team here are very friendly and accommodating when it comes to the tastings which you can straight up or matched with cheeses and other options too. Definitely worth a visit as they have a large variety of wines to choose and you're bound to find something you like

Our 2 course lunch was delicious, the staff were very friendly and our accommodation was luxurious. There were 13 in our group for a friends surprise 50th birthday, we had a very special time. Thank you making it very memorable.

I visited Mitchelton Cellar Door on christmas eve and was I ever impressed! I was served by the beautiful Jessica, who not only had an immense knowledge of wine, but made us feel incredible welcome and relaxed with her sense of humour and big smile! I am so incredibly impressed at the service I received, and the quality of the wines was impeccable! I have never received such professional yet personable service! I will definitely be back, hats off to Jessica!

Went here for my birthday. Love the food so much we were hoping to actually book to stay for a few days next year for Valentine’s Day. I love the smoked strawberries, the food was very flavourful which is great. The view was great, while waiting for the food we would actually wait around or sit by the fireplace to stay warm. I have attached some photos. I had the bone marrow as well, very creamy.

We stayed in one of the cabins for two nights for a surprise birthday celebration. I was delighted by the several complimentary gestures (drink on arrival, a bottle of cuvee & minibar items), such a rarity these days. Winery surrounds were beautiful, food was divine and staff were lovely. Highly impressed by the customer service too - I accidentally left some items behind and the responsiveness and coordination of return was effortless (thank you Shaniza!).
Highly recommend visiting and be sure to stay. There are so many things to do such as walking the grounds, viewing the gallery, going for a dip, watching the sunset in the tower with drinks in hand, enjoying some wine-tasting, eating, and more!
Felt refreshed after our stay but two days was not enough. We'll be back!

Stunning surroundings, perfectly manicured gardens, architectural delights, stunning artwork in the gallery and a 5 star wine list.

We were warmly welcomed by each staff member we met, none of them too busy to provide a bit of country hospitality.

Gone are the days of free tastings at most of the big wineries, but the wine flight was generous & paired with beautiful cheeses.

Mitchelton is well worth a trip off the highway, if you’re in the area Château Tahbilk is only a couple of kms up the road on your way back to the Hume.
