Sweet Dreams Retreat At Lara

I enjoyed my stay at Sweet Dreams Retreat. The hosts were extremely helpful accommodating me after delayed flight. I appreciated this greatly, thank you.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and homely. I stayed twice and both times the hosts were really lovely. The home is surrounded by trees. Everything you need and very quiet. I would highly recommend.

A great place to stay if you are touring the Geelong area. We had the Green room and it was sizeable. Great selection of teas and coffees. There are appliances for making simple breakfast. Bathroom is en-suite to the room. And you are given a chance to sample the natural products that Janita also retails. Quiet and beautiful natural bush surroundings. The verandah would be great to kick back on in the warmer months. Beats the stuffing out of staying at motels!

My daughter and I stayed for one night, attracted by the resonable price and proximity to Avalon airport . Our accommodation was attractive and functional, and we found the beds to be very comfortable. In addition, the broad decking and surrounding garden were aesethically pleasing features. The owner was efficient with making contact and easy to deal with. We would definitely use this accommodation again if the need arose.

Easy access, large double rooms off the covered deck, over looking willow trees and the garden, a great place for a quiet get away!
Each suite has its own bathroom facilities; also tea/coffee facilities.

Beautifully presented rooms with scenic outlook. Host is very welcoming and friendly and has a wealth of knowledge of the local area. Well worth a stay at Sweet Dreams Retreat.

Sweet Dreams Retreat invokes an eerie nostalgia, taking one back to the disquieting charm of Sid from Toy Story. Much like his malignant "Sweet Dreams" whispered to Woody, the retreat sets the stage for a nightmarish echo of anticipation. It's a foreboding overture to a Kafkaesque narrative, a stage set for a neurotic dance with terror come the morrow. Yet, within this uniquely macabre tableau, a peculiar allure resides, much like a moth drawn to an uncanny flame. The experience is unsettling, captivating, and oddly enthralling. Overall, it's a decent experience, a curious blend of the uncanny and the intriguing, meriting a solid four out of five stars.

No sweet dreams for me.

The accommodation itself was nice enough but unfortunately the owner (and/or perhaps some other guests?) were having a loud party late into the night which wasn't ideal considering I booked the accommodation in the hope it would be a quiet retreat as I had to get up at 4am for my flight from the nearby Avalon airport.
