Simply an unreal place! The charcuterie board was so generous and tasty and the scenery is truly beautiful. The owners are amazingly kind and lovely people, some of the nicest people I have met during my time in Australia. All in all a must visit stop if you’re roadtripping in the area.

Such a gorgeous and relaxing setting the new owners have created. You can feel the love and care they have poured into this space.

We thoroughly enjoyed lazing away the afternoon with a drink or two whilst enjoying one of the delicious grazing platters.

You can set up a giant Jenga or connect 4 game for the kids, and don’t forget to grab a yummy ice-cream to finish off the day!

A lovely spot to enjoy the Pennyroyal Valley and worth a visit for sure!

What a hidden gem.

We recently spent a lovely afternoon at Gentle Annie’s. What a stunning location, all that greenery and rolling hills. You can really see the pride the owners have in their surroundings, they welcomed us and were so friendly.

We ordered a cheese platter which was a beautifully presented, very generous portions and tasted divine!

The bar had a range of drink options to suit everyone; my kids particularly enjoyed the organic soft drinks as well as the ice cream.

We spent a lazy afternoon wandering the property, exploring the berry bushes and orchards, eating yummy cheeses and catching up with friends. There were games to keep the kids occupied, including a giant wooden Jenga set and noughts and crosses. We brought the footy for a little kick in case the kids got bored but didn’t need it, there was a lot to do at Gentle Annie’s.

As the afternoon heated up, we borrowed a picnic blanket to lay on under the trees. What a perfect way to enjoy a summer holiday afternoon, with some great tunes playing in the background.

Finding Gentle Annie’s was easy, there were easy to identify signs along our route.

We’ll be back again for sure.

What a lovely experience. We booked our picnic hampers online the morning of our berry picking adventure. My little grand nieces and nephew absolutely loved picking the blackberries and pears. There were definitely some that didn’t make it into their containers going by the stains around their mouths! The hampers were delivered to us under the shade of the beautiful trees. The food was fresh and abundant with meats, cheeses, dips, bread, crackers and fruit. Absolutely delicious. The kids enjoyed an ice cream from the small but delicious selection. Do yourself a favour and immerse yourself in nature in this beautiful setting. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The new hosts are the loveliest couple and deserve the success this venue offers.

A hidden gem in the Otway foothills, you have to hand it Laura and John when they commit, they commit to the pursuit of excellence in every way. We just love going there and enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, the locally sourced produce and magnificent wines.
Hope to bring friends there this weekend.

Possibly one of the most amazing places to enjoy the day with some wine and cheese, run by the most beautiful people who make you feel so welcome. A new favorite place to visit while down the coast

Such a beautiful day we had at Gentle Annie. The freshly renovated main cafe/restaurant looks absolutely stunning.
And as usual Johnny & Laura were the hosties with the mosties.
Muchas Gracias for the stunning food and wine.
The kids l-o-v-e-d the delicious ice creams and hand picked berries. Can’t wait to get back 🙏

Great time, friendly staff and owners. $20 for the family pass to eat as you pick and $20/kilo for the berries. Really good family outing from Lorne for the day. Great to support little businesses in the hills around the Otways

Beautiful hidden gem, fresh hampers, local craft beer and wine to enjoy whilst picnicking on the property with serene backdrop of fruit trees, berry bushes and forest trees.
You can also pick your own berries and fruit whilst as part of the experience.
Wonderful hosts too.

All in all a brilliant afternoon and we very much look forward to heading there again when we are down that way.

Lovely afternoon in the PennyRoyal Valley, eating some of the regions best produce and sampling from a fantastic range of beers. The new owners Laura and John were exceptionally welcoming and hospitable. Great place to while away the afternoon with friends, where the kids pick berries and play lawn games. We’ll be back.

Revisiting this iconic location under new management / owners was a lesson in metamorphosing what was once great, is now simply brilliant. No longer about a bucket of berries, we’ve just been a part of an immersive experience in local flora, fauna, food and festivities. Superb local wine, beer, cheese, fruits; and yes, if you choose, a bucket of berries. The Otways have never tasted so good. We will be back 🤗

Just had the most amazing dinner at Gentle Annies. Home made pizzas with all the most gloriously fresh ingredients. We shared two different antipasto platters and hubby had their tender beef main. All in the most picturesque, warm, county atmosphere. Can’t recommend this place enough.
