Greenhill is on the land of Dja Dja Wurrung traditional owners.
This cemetery was established sometime in the 1860s during the Gold Rush. It is a very small yard with only a handful of surviving graves, no longer in use. Parking is on the side of the dirt road out front, entry is through a farm gate. There are no facilities, no drinking water, seating or toilets. There is shade provided by a number of trees. The yard is covered with grass and no paved paths, and is on a very slight incline so it shouldn't present much difficulty for people with limited mobility.
The back of the main sign has a scale of fees in pounds and shillings, presumably painted in the C19th or early 20th century. There is also a memorial to the unmarked and unrecorded graves in the yard.
