Royal Hotel St Arnaud

Had dinner there whilst staying in st Arnaud for work. Our Parma and our burger were both really, really good. Chips and sauces also top notch. Good cold beers, happy lads. Cheers for the show too kitchen! 😬

One of the best Pub meals I've had in a long time. Had the Braised Lamb Pie. The building has been tastefully restored. Has an old classic Billiards room. The staff were attentitive and friendly. I would recommend this pub to anyone staying in St. Arnaud.

Must say sometimes you just get great service that needs recognition! A few weeks ago I was attending a function here and after just serving me once, the lovely bar lady remembered my partner’s and my drink for the rest of the evening… hats off to her! You don’t get that everywhere you go

We were caravanning at Wooroonook Lakes & read the reviews before choosing the Royal & they were spot on. Great staff, the service friendly & engaging. My wifes birthday & they made it special. The Parma & meals excellent & good value. Definitely a place to recommend & return. Thanks.

To say our Parma quest has been an adventure of the Good , Bad and Ugly is an understatement . We just never know what we are going to get . We hit the road today hoping to try the Logan Pub in Logan but we're told at the moment they are only doing dinner 2 times a week . We are on a mission though to go there as the exterior of it screamed too us , as it looks like a building straight out of Texas Chain Saw Masacre 😏😏 . But they say in life everything happens for a reason due to this we found ourselves at The Royal Hotel in St Arnauds . Until today we thought The Mansfield hotel was secure in its number 1 position but today's Parma blew it out of the water . I mean it was bloody delicious but what made it was instead of the normal Parma sauce they used a chutney sauce with a hint of something . The chips were cooked in a chicken stock and the salad came with beetroot with is so far a few between these days . Icing on the cake today was the price of $24 . We are finding more and more Parma's are pushing the $30 price tag . If you find yourselves in the area you would be crazy not to try their Parma ❤ Parmagedon Adventures ...

Great food for a very reasonable price with Friendly helpful staff

Wonderful pub and wonderful staff! We got into town late, right when they were closing their kitchens, and the team very graciously kept the kitchen open for us. The food was excellent! Atmosphere in this pub was so cozy.
Definitely recommend when visiting St Arnaud.

Absolute legends. After the farmers arms cancelled a takeaway order that was ordered 30mins before kitchen close and didn't inform us till after 8pm. These guys not only opened there kitchen back up they cooked 5 perfect parmas and garlic bread to boot. Cannot thank them enough.

Really friendly service, and a great meal (the porterhouse). The meal took a while but the staff kept me updated and shouted a glass of wine after it’d probably been a bit too long. Great proactive, friendly service on a really busy night.

We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Royal on the way to the Wimmera for Easter camping.
The food was super tasty and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back for sure!

What a top country pub! The meals were filling, top value and absolutely delicious. Great food, first class staff. The Royal Parma would have to be the best I have had. Well done to Team Royal!

Just had the Merv Burger with chilli cheese fries. The burger was fresh, hand-made, and tasty. The chilli bacon cheese fries were wow. I have never had such great chilli bacon cheese. Real bacon cooked and cut, with a perfect balance of chilli and cheese sauce.
Add to this friendly and helpful staff to make this a fantastic country pub well worth the trip.
PS: Don't forget to check out the paintings by the local artist in the dining room

Very cool country pub. Very tastefully decorated, not too cheesy. Would be cool to have rooms to stay in. The food was also great, very good steak. Friendly staff. Could do with more beers on tap

Food was really tasty, and actually still represented value for money

Stayed in St Arnaud for one night in the old Post Office. Dinner was delicious at the Royal Hotel on the main street. Massive open fire, live AFL football, friendly & fast service.

We enjoyed the Lamb shanks & red wine from some first class local wineries. Followed by sticky date pudding to share. Compliments to the chef. Absolutely beautiful!

We will be back!

Easy to find location.
Friendly welcoming staff and locals, with reasonable priced menu and good sized meals.
We had burgers and steaks both good sizes, Texan butter delish. Along with garlic mash yummo.

Had a lovely meal here, a beautiful hotel. I have been here a few times and the meals are always good. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem is the limited menu so it is hard to decide what to eat. Whatever I do choose is always good though. Would I come back….yes

The Real Deal in every way!

No sooner had we walked in the door of the cosy room with open fire place, when out from the very busy bar service area stepped a smiling, charming young lady, her eyes flashing an enthusiastic “welcome.” What a blessing to encounter the ‘real deal’ when ‘going through the motions’ is the much easier option.

What is at the top flows down, is it said. True. We encountered similar from a couple of other young ladies in service also. Speaking of the real deal, this applied to the food and wine. Glorious Royal Parma - mouth-melting chicken, topped with bacon (not boring ham!), a delicious home-made tomato relish and cheese, tasty side-salad, plus the best of the best beer-battered chips. Yum! Yum! For desert, we couldn’t ignore the sticky-date pudding served with cream and vanilla ice-cream. Yum! Yum again!

Don’t know when we’ll get back to lovely St Arnaud, but the Royal Hotel will be the one and only for us. Well done, people; bless you heaps.

We have had lunch here a few times now and the staff and meals have never failed us yet. Great choices for Coeliacs ❤❤❤
