Huge thanks to Doug and his crew. They saved our Subaru Forrester after a spin out on the great ocean road for an exceptional price and even let us camp onsite with a working toilet. The car is better than ever and we couldn't be happier.

So grateful for Doug at Armistead Mechanical. I was in trouble and needed brake pads fitted, Doug was the only one willing to help. He went above and beyond with his service towards myself and the car gave good advice and was an all round legend!! Highly recommend taking your cars here as you won’t be disappointed with great and trusty service.

It seems from the reviews that Doug is a rescuer of stranded travellers! That was certainly the case with us. We were stuck on a long weekend with a camper trailer that needed a new tow bar. We were expecting it to be an expensive and difficult saga, but Doug made the experience as stress free as he could. He kept us in the loop, made sure it didn't cost too much and got us back on the road in time for our next holiday. I highly recommend giving him a call if you are in the area and need assistance.

Saved us from very stressful situation! Amazing team!

Our cars clutch went on the great Ocean road and we were faced with a month wait in pretty much every mechanic near by, to get the clutch fixed. When we called Doug he said we should bring it in and he'll have a look at it and do it when he has time, we brought it in that day and started straight away.

He went above and beyond, even showing us under the car and explaining everything. We were in the loop the whole time. He even got it done before we had to go into Melbourne, even though he didn't need to rush just for us. it was an extremely stressful time for us, (travelling from WA and stuck) and Doug made the whole time easier and saved us from a very long stressful time.

Long story short, he did a great job! He was very thorough, picked up things previous mechanics didn't.

Our van broke down in Colac and no mechanics could get us in for a while, but Doug made space for us in his rota and helped us when noone else would. He definitely went above and out of his way to see us back on the road. Would highly recommend him for his turn around time, very fair prices, and friendly service! 5*
