Colourful Yunnan Burwood

One of the best hot pot places I’ve been in Melbourne. They provide little pots here, so everyone can get their favorite flavors, different options for spicy or non-spicy.
Food is fresh and delicious, so many options make me wanna come back.
The servers are absolutely amazing, they are so nice and friendly!!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food in Yunnan cuisine was exceptional, especially the colorful glutinous rice dish. I loved the cultural aspect of eating with my hands. The portions were generous, and I couldn't get enough of the coconut milk drink accompanied by bread, sago, and nata de coco. While the prices were slightly higher, the taste more than justified it. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend this place!

My wife introduced me to Yunnan cuisine (being a Kunming native herself) and the best example of it can be found here…well, besides her own cooking of course. There’s only one problem. Whenever we go here I eat far too much. I just can’t help myself because the food is so tasty.

Colourful Yunnan in Burwood exceeded our expectations with its delightful hot pot experience! The variety in their hot pot soup selection was impressive—each broth bursting with rich, authentic flavors. From mild to spicy, they catered to every palate. The friendly staff's recommendations made our choices even more enjoyable. A hot pot haven with a soup for every mood.

This beautiful restaurant surprise me with a beautiful hot pot 😍 and all the trimming ,with delicious meats and seafood and everything else in between absolutely 💯 delicious food to eat 😋 but also celebrating a friend's wife's birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 🎂

We have been provided the very good service by all the staff.
Although we came very late nearly 9 30pm closing time. They are all very patient and service us very well. They even gave us the colorful steam cake a whole plate of the cake for free and they are all very delicious ! Thanks so much!

Wow, amazing food! Super spicy of course, so you have to like spicy food, but everything is so tasty. The girl who served us was really knowledgeable and helpful. Good value too, and every single thing we ordered was fantastic. Can't wait to eat there again!

For great tasting Chinese food that is different to the normal Chinese fare, you can't go past Colourful Yunnan. Not many people know about Yunnan food, but it is definitely worth a try. My personal favourite is 'Cross the Bridge Rice Noodles". yummy!! Excellent service too. Not just for Chinese people, westerners will love this style.
