My family and I absolutely loved our stay here. The place was clean and provided everything we needed including shampoo, conditioner, soap, clean sheets (except drinking water). We got to see a local wombat, lots of wallabies - even a wallaby boxing fight, a couple of quolls and kookaburras. The view is amazing. Would definitely come again.

The place is so quiet and full of nature. The cabin was perfect, fully kitchen, AC, comfy bed. The staff so friendly, they provided us a map with the bushwalking. Amazing rest in this place

Spent 3 nights here in Craggy Peaks not long ago w my family. And I'd say it's one of the most underrated accomodation in Tas. Cabin facilities and layout is definitely well thought-out. Bedrooms/living area are clean and comfortable 👌 Massive verandah with spectacular views of nature and mountains. Very tranquil and relaxing, one of the best holidays we've had. Will be back.

We stayed on a powered site for 3 nights and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Awesome wild mountain location with great amenities. Lots of wild life and plenty of space. Deb and Craig are great Managers, and are very knowledgeable of the area.

A peaceful & stunning wilderness retreat set amongst the most beautiful scenery with mountain views amongst the trees. The cabin was so spotless, clean & felt so cosy & homely inside. We loved the huge windows which you could lay in bed & watch the view. A lovely balcony to sit on & just enjoy the wildlife & silence. Very special to see wild wallabies, wombats, enchindas & many birds & parrots all amongst the grounds & right outside the cabin. There is no need to drive or go out of the property as there are some amazing walks amongst the forest & along a creek & to just relax at your cabin watching the wildlife go by. It's so great to hear Craig and Deb do alot to care for the local wildlife too. It really is any nature lovers dream to stay here!
We will definitely return but for longer, & explore some more of the walks & scenery. Thanks for having us, Liam & Megan

I recently had the most unforgettable experience at Craggy Peaks Tasmania, and I can't stop raving about it! This place is an absolute gem for anyone seeking adventure, natural beauty, and a true escape from the ordinary. Debb and Craig are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate individuals I've encountered. Their love for the area is infectious, and they provided us with insightful information about the local flora and fauna, as well as the history of the region. It's clear that they genuinely care about preserving and sharing the natural wonders of Tasmania. Accommodation was top-notch. The cozy cabins blend seamlessly with the surroundings, providing a comfortable and rustic retreat after a day of exploration. Falling asleep to the sounds of nature and waking up to the fresh mountain air was truly rejuvenating.
Deb and Craig if you reading this, thank you once again.

A nature lovers retreat.
We had a really lovely weekend at Craggy Peaks. Clean, comfortable cabins with wildlife all around. Possums, wallabies and quolls visiting the cabin each night keeping us entertained. The added extras of marshmallows and hot chocolate by the fire pit made the visit extra special for our 7 year old.
The owners were informative and engaging giving us extra tips on where and how to see the animals and walks to go on.
A great place to relax, take in beautiful views, make memories and see some gorgeous Tassie wildlife.

We had an amazing 2-day stay at Craggy Peaks. Perfectly furnished and clean private houses. Good kitchen and bathroom. Comfortable beds. Closer to nature isn’t possible. What a great place, where we spotted kookaburra’s, wombats, wallabies etc. Thanks also to the very kind hosts. Would have loved to stay longer!

Had an amazing time in an unpowered campsite along the creek. Great facilities, very clean and quiet around the area. Frosty in the morning. Craig the caretaker was an absolute legend and has a wealth of knowledge of the park and area. 10/10 experience.

My partner and I stayed at Craggy Peaks in early Jan 2023. The location was stunning. The cabin was really clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed seeing the Australian wildlife on the property. Most notably Craig and Debbie were so incredibly welcoming. You can tell that they care for the welfare of their guests and want to ensure that everyone has a good time! Would definitely recommend staying at Craggy Peaks! We hope to be back in the future to check out more of the local walks!

Great experience. The main living and dining area is spacious, showers and kitchen both luxurious and functional, and a large patio gives a great view of the forest. Much more luxurious than the name makes it sound!

Had an awesome 2 night stay in the wilderness at Craggy Peaks. Spotless accommodation that caters for your fur babies with lots for them to sniff and explore. Has all the comforts of home. Amazing scenery and very peaceful, thank you for having us! We will be back, thank you!

This is such a beautiful area in Tasmania. It has a majestic view over a large mountain escarpment. We spent 4 days here as a central hub to explore this beautiful area. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The Unit's/ Cabin are very modern. Lovely showers. Full kitchen. Make sure you stock up before arriving. Either Campbell Town or St Mary's. Depending on which route you take. I wouldn't travel to roads after sunset. (Animals) Most of the road from Avoca is a small run on dirt/gravel,which is in great condition. The rest is Bitumen.
We hope you love it like we did!

My studio cabin was an excellent place to relax. Sitting on the deck, listening to bird sounds, gurgling creek in the background, reading a book - tranquility to the max!
The cabin was well-maintained, clean and comfortable. The kitchen, though small, was perfectly formed. I especially appreciated the clear instructions on how to light the gas oven, and I enjoyed using an insinkerator for the first time. Great collection of sharp knives, and the rare inclusion of a pair of scissors proved useful.
The teabags (Twinings Morning Tea) were different from the norm, and much appreciated.
Showering was a delight - great water pressure; and I’ve never seen a shower with the drain on the outside!
I slept with the blinds open, as the view of the bush and the mountains was too beautiful to block out.
Overall - a terrific stay in a terrific venue. I definitely plan to return!

Absolutely loved this place. Camped 4 nights in my swag right by the creek. Place is so relaxed and quiet. Facilities were clean and there is a laundry for $5 including washing powder and dryer. Saw loads of wildlife including quolls, pademelons, wallabies, wombats and birds. A fellow camper was lucky enough to spot a platypus in the creek. Loads of great walks nearby including stacks bluff. Make sure you carry a PLB and notify someone of your intention to hike. The people who run this place are fantastic and have a lot of good info about the wildlife and what to do in the surrounding area. Make sure you stock up on groceries before you arrive as the closest place is at Mary's which is at least 30-40mins drive.

Awesome friendly staff, Peter was extremely welcoming and helpful. I had my pick of places to park and put up my tent and set by the creek for a wonderful relaxing night listening to the water and wildlife. Highly recommend I will be bat for sure.

We stayed for a weekend trip in the summer and it was great. We loved the secluded cabin, being able to cook our own meals, the views, wildlife, and hikes in the area. It was a bit of a rough drive from Hobart on the one gravel road, but easy to get to otherwise. They are not close to any shops, so stop and buy what you need from the store (including bottle shop) before you get there and you'll be all set. We even loved the eco friendliness of recycling rainwater and free laundry. We will definitely visit again!

PS this can’t be said enough but avoid driving when dark.
