We loved this place! It is very serene and peaceful. We keep coming to the weir in the morning and the afternoon. In the morning to check out the birds. And in the afternoon to go for a swim. The water is clear and has a beautiful colour in the deep spots. We saw a lot of redwinged parrots having a bath in the morning! An excellent spot to have a swim and I see people have had a campfire there of an evening before as well. As we were leaving, someone was pulling up with their dinner to have by the water, sounds like an absolutely amazing idea. Beautiful safe swimming hole.

Absolutely beautiful. Relaxing, clean, tranquil, remote - just perfect if you want to get away for a while.

Absolutely loved Chillagoe. Would recommend this lovely little town and all it has to offer. Well and truly worth the drive.

This really is a beautiful surprise. Walking distance from the town of Chillagoe.
Water was lovely, there are shallow and deep areas, with a rope on a tree for the adventurous.
BYO everything tho, there is nothing here. Back a bit closer to town, there are some picnic seats.

Great swimming spot after a hot day exploring. Fresh water and the only things that bite are a few nibbles from the little fish.
