The Mall Hot Bread Kitchen

The staff are friendly and the food is great. Prices are very good. Be sure to time visits with baking times as they sell out of fresh bread fast. The crunchy pork roll is a favourite.

this place has great prices, the staff are lovely and the bread is fresh. a huge range of items on the menu including sweet and savoury. Great to have a place like this at the mall. Would recommend

While this mall is a real low-point in the northern suburbs, this hot bread kitchen is a real diamond in the rough. The hot Vietnamese pork/chicken roll is something that should be on every northerner's bucket list. Don't be fooled or tempted by the dim-sims or the chicko rolls that have been marinating the bay marie-the real gold mine is the Vietnamese rolls.

Portuguese Custard tarts are so good and only $2 each. Please keep making them so I can keep eating them!

Always a happy experience. Good eats, great coffee, friendly staff and good prices. Same proprietors for 20 years.

Someone mentioned their Portuguese custard tarts are really good, so I gave them a try. They were honestly awful. Probably multiple days old or maybe just wholesale stuff from the factory. For some context: I recently enjoyed the 'real ones' in Portugal, so am a bit biased, but that is no excuse for these tarts to be some bad.
Best to stick to their Vietnamese food, which gets good reviews.

Pies & pastries were no good. So many people queuing for their rolls. Captain Hindsights said that I should have been a sheep: they looked amazing.

Queud for 10mins and was told cant sell me the roll as there are other people coming to buy.Very bad customer service .Will never buy from you again.

Sausage roll was horrible and partially cold. The fried dim sim was mushy and not warm. Vietnamese pork roll was not pleasant, the meat was dry, the pate was uneatable, there was a hair in the roll.
