Victoria River Roadhouse

Excellent!! Originally booked 2 nights, then stayed for 4 nights.
Took a helicopter flight over Gregory National Park ☺ Highly recommend!!!
People complain about toilet block but this is a 'public toilet' owned by council and obviously council do not maintain it as well as it should be. NO FAULT OF THE ROADHOUSE. The management and staff were extremely helpful and very accommodating. Beautiful veiws of the escarpments. Roadhouse offers well priced meals and free wifi.
Short stroll to the river to do some fishing 🐟🐟and croc spotting 🐊🐊🐊 Delightful breezes. Plenty of wildlife🦘🐃🦅

What a great stay, everything you need for exploring the area! We called in, made camp, stocked up, set off of on a quick buzz to timber creek saw all that, came back. Spent the night, woke early morning and went on the hike! Very nice place, will be back for sure. Didnt think you could get a nicer spot to base yourself from!

We had a lovely overnight stay at the Victoria River Roadhouse. Denise and Neville were great hosts. Warm, friendly, engaged and funny. Well worth a stopover just for their company, not to mention the stunning location.

Pretty much this is how it is.... Its half the price of everywhere else unpowered, the amenities may not be marble lined but they are spotless and fresh, roads r watered and the grounds are extremely well kept with room to keep away from each other easily. Tap beer at the bar is perfect temp! Like the kinda temp you cant leave... The staff are all just great people. Meals are what you would pay in the big smoke... Just a perfect spot with an amazing view of such an amazing river and with a backdrop to die for as the sun sets... Helicopters scenic flights etc... Pull in for a night n you'll probably stay for 2 like we did....

Great place, clean amenities, polite staff, great food, and no bindies in the grass. Able to pick your own beaut, shady spot, where you feel suits your set-up.

The staff were so friendly on arrival and accommodating for beers, food and a bed. It was great to be able to take a break in such a remote location. Great all around, will head back for a longer stay to take in the surrounding area

Love this place, beautiful area, the facilities are rustic, but clean, meals quite good as well.

Had an excellent stop here. We stayed campaign for a night, all the staff was so friendly and nice! Good food great pub, definitely a good place to stop before continuing your trip.

Nice spot to stop over, was nothing fancy but what do you expect for a roadhouse!

Very basic place. Bacon and egg roll fantastic. Fuel expensive, get fuel at Timber Creek.

Was going to stay for one day and stayed for two .I had a cabin that was very clean . The Roadhouse serves simple meals and they were tasty.
Spectacular setting .

These folk are delightful. A great feed and nice cold beer after a hot day. Some great walks nearby too that really explain the local indigenous history and use of country. Really delightful.

Great place to stay. Clean tidy rooms are a comfortable option for the night. The meal at the Roadhouse for dinner was brilliant, best lamb chops and veg! Optus service here but no Telstra.

Great place to stop, nice staff, nice campgrounds, toilet block cleanliness can be hit and miss, but generally pretty good. Like I said to the publican, if it's not Gods country, it's pretty darn close

I always stop here when in the area. Best steak sandwiches out! Everything is always neat and clean. Running a remote small business would be a tough gig. This lady does it well.

An oasis for an overnight. Beautuful location. Great park. Fuel way too expensive.

Room was very clean, food was great, very friendly staff, good fuel options including premium unleaded, grounds were clean, green & inviting, stunning backdrop!! Highly recommended!!
