Quiet
Easy to get around.
Very little outside security and very little inside for shopping or food, but there are lots of tables and chairs to get comfortable and you get to watch the planes

Beautiful airport, Bonza New Airlines also flights here every day it very nice and new airlines operating in Australia 🇦🇺
I highly recommend it to anyone, especially to tourists, safely. is very good here and express the line so quickly check it and very kind security here to 5/5

First time here , easy check in and lots of parking, nice waiting area. We took our own food which saved money. Power points for phone charging, games area , Cafe, small gift shop. Helpful, pleasant staff.

I attended an air show. I got maximum pleasure and positive emotions! I recommend everyone to visit such an event, but if the question arises to use the services of this airport, then I think everyone will be satisfied!

AIRPORT RAVE ITS SO FULL come in over specially from 12pm to 4am. Super nice installations, full of people, very lively, not at all the quietest airport in the world. We had the nicest Uber driver who totally and absolutely warned that the airport was going to be open. Viva la vida

Bar usually has workers at the cafe but other than that good beers especially the great ocean road one. Great security, solidly staffed made me feel safe

Bit of a random spot but if you've got someone to pick you up it's a very easy way to land just outside of Melbourne, airport clean, staff welcoming. Nice, small airport vibe

It is a small countryside airport which is mostly quiet.
1 flight per hour, mostly dominated by Jet star.
Sometimes, you get a good deal if you are flying with jetstar.
Airasia used to fly from here, but due to covid, they've stopped their operations.
It is very convenient for people who live in Geelong and Western suburbs of Melbourne.
Taxis and Uber are also available.
Rental car companies are also there.
In busy times, some fair price deals can be avail but very limited.

Seriously. My favourite little airport in Australia- staff are always friendly. Just wish the X-ray department would speed it up or open two

Perfectly functional for a smaller airport. VERY easy to get to - much easier than tullamarine. From doors to your gate, it's just easy.
I was a bit reticent to book from Geelong to Kuala Lumpur based on other bad or average reviews, but I have to say I'm glad I ignored them. All personnel were nice throughout.
Quick, efficient, easy. Its the best option to remove a stopover to KL. Saves you hours wasted. Recommended.

What a fantastic small airport! Great signage to the airport by road, easy to find, car parking is so close to the terminals, great checking in, great little clean cafe. 👏👍👌

Avalon is a decent airport, it is actually really efficient to check in and go through security. For me it has always been hassle-free. It’s never too busy because there’s only Jetstar and AirAsia here. We drove our rental car straight into the terminal and gave our key back. There’s TRS tax refund, a small shopping area and cafes after security. The airport is clean and spacious and quiet.
Only negative thing is that it’s far from the city and not many transport options other than Skybus. Taxi to city is really expensive, about $150. We checked DiDi and Uber, around $75 to city. For two people on Skybus it cost $48 one way to city.

Excellent little airport - if you’re staying in the West/Southwest of Melbourne, using this airport should be a no-brainer.

It’s got many dedicated desks for you to charge your electronics, airport security is simple but effective - and a small cafe too.

Very clean and well maintained.

The SkyBus is a good little shuttle to the CBD and Werribee too. The shuttle times are adjusted to the Avalon flights - making things that just bit easier.

Great small airport with helpful staff check in was so fast no wait at security

After attending the Friday night from the side of the road to actually being inside on Sunday the experience was amazing. A wide coverage of many aircraft ranging from cargo to speed it was fantastic. Plenty to see but highly recommend a good hat and some sunscreen. The sun likes to bite and it won’t let up until the evening.

Lean and clean. The airport is really efficient, European style. It’s never meant to be anywhere near one of those mega airports in the Middle East and that explains why some reviewers heavily underrate it. The airport design and processes are a study in lean management. Minimum waste of physical environments, processes and information.

Airshow was great. My partner and I were there for the Saturday show. We got in line at 8 am we drove there from Albury. Free parking was a great move. In my opinion the traffic flow and directions to parking was handled well. I appreciate all the hard work staff, traffic control and especially the volunteers. The only downside to the day was some people have no disregard for other's. A lot of people did not watch where they were going. They ran into very small children, elderly people and my boyfriend who is in a wheelchair was smacked in the head at least 3 times. However lots of people complained about the toilets. I thought they were fine. Some people aren't happy unless their complaining. See you in two years 😊❤
