this is the best Japanese BBQ I’ve had. Please book to avoid lines. Service was efficient and the quality of the wagyu was a stand out. My favourite cuts were the soy rib and tongue which was thick. Definitely would be coming back.

Great food and fun atmosphere. Meats are well marinated and cut thin so it's hard to stuff up the cook yourself stuff which is always helpful.

Bench style seats may not be the most comfortable for anyone needing back support, but fast service means you're in and out pretty quick.

Really good food and atmosphere. The wagyu is thick, and it just melts in your mouth. Perfect. The problem is very limited seat available. If you didnt have a booking, you will be waiting for a long time. Some staff are not that cheerful but understandable because they are busy.

Kashiwa is the best Japanese bbq in greater Sydney!
Marinated chicken wings, I will rate beyond full marks, the best chicken wings I have ever had. It’s a must try.
Their bbq actually use charcoal, instead of gas, which makes it much favourable.
They have a different kind of platter to choose from, depends on how many people.
The price is not too expensive, but definitely worth it.

One of the best Japanese BBQ in Sydney, good quality of meat, nice atmosphere, service was quick, ox tongue is the best in town. 🤤
Octopus karaage with Japanese beers, you will love it!!
A bit pricey but worth it.
Definitely come back!!

Kashiwa delivers a delightful Japanese BBQ experience with tasty offerings and top-notch quality meats. The extensive selection of snacks perfectly complements a night out drinking. The added option of enjoying sushi from @Sushi enhances the overall experience. A must-visit spot, but booking is essential to secure your place in this flavorful journey.

Whenever we crave japanese bbq or yakiniku aka Jbbq, we always ended up driving half an hour go this establishment! Our reason is simple- this place serves the best meat for jbbq at it’s price point! Used to be a small jbbq joint and even cheaper, but now they expanded yet still pretty affordable, so it remained as one of our favourite jbbq spot. Best place to hangout and have amazing food! Make sure to book a table to avoid queueing forever on the weekends!

Nice Yakiniku places, but please book ahead or you have to wait or get rejected by the staff even if there is an empty seat. Chicken wing is very nice. Chu-hi is not really good

Got recommended by a friend from Sydney so they're know which BBQ is the best. And this place wasn't disappointed us!
Good quality of the meat and variety to choose from. The best one was Sirloin steak. If you have a chance to go to this place. You can't miss this one. When it cooked properly, it just melted in my mouth. Super super deliciuos!
Atmosphere and service was nice and friendly too. Would love to go back again for sure.

I love their chicken wings. They're really good.
Beef ribs & beef tounge are good as well.
They're always busy so make sure to reserve a seat.

I love yakiniku, so the food was great. I recommend trying assortment of seafood and meats. I particularly like the Wagyu cuts and washing them down with Sapporo beer or Umeshu. I will say I don't like the booking system here it's a minor complaint, most restaurants allow you to book online but you have to call up the restaurant.
Also note you should pay with cash or Bpay, card is not accepted.

What an awesome place to spend a weekend dinner with friends and family. Great vibes (and smell) while the charcoal fuelled sizzling fire cooks up a wagyu storm. Booking essential.

One of my favourite Japanese BBQ place in Sydney. It does get very pack here most of the time. Also it will get smoky so if you can't stand it book a table outside. The food are very good here, fresh, good cuts and perfectly marinated. They have a lunch menu with option if a few different cuts, but I much prefer to order the Wagyu rips and skirt, together with a bowl of rice makes a perfect meal.
Staff are helpful and polite.
They do have time limits but normally it is more than enough time
Reminder: always book a table for dinner ( lunch you can't book)

This is one of my favourite restaurants, great quality and valued food, have been coming here for years! Especially love how they have expanded their location and there is air conditioning now. The only critique I have is it is a cash only business.

Best Japanese BBQ in the area, friendly staff, and food quality never disappoint. The only problem with this place is if you don't have a booking, you most likely have a long wait.

Price range: 30-60

Quality/taste:  9.5/10

Value for money: Above average, especially for Korean/Japanese BBQs

Overall rating: 9/10

Why don't I come back more often!
Great food and service. Quality cuts, for sure.

Definitely one of my go to yakiniku spots in Sydney.

Only drawback is they do not accept eftpos and is cash/bank transfer only so be prepared for that
