A classic institution in burwood. Serves more northern style Chinese food.

If you like thick chewy noodles this is the place to be. Highly recommend getting a noodle dish. First timers should also try to get the spicy beef noodle soup. Very good on a cold day. The dumpling were great with the sauces. Each main dish is massive. Can almost eat it in two meals. So prepare to take home if you have to.

Burwood parking is difficult and may need to park quite a distance and walk over. Great casual restaurant for a filling and affordable feed.

Have visited this restaurant a number of times and cant seem to keep away from their hand made roasted lamb noodles. Each dish on the menu is exceptional, however their hand made noodles really are something else. The restaurant prys themselves on their hand made noodles and rightly so.

Their entre options are also very nice, would recommend the tripe(although im not a big tripe eater, this was an exception).

The only recommendation is that you introduce a booking system as the restaurant itself is quite small with very limited seating

Overall cant recommend this place enough if you are craving delicious traditional chinese noodles made fresh. Keep up the solid work!

Y'all, let me tell you right now, the oil splash noodles are TO DIE FOR.
This could quite possibly be the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. The noodles are springy and chewy, the absolute perfect texture. I LOVE a WIDE and THICK noodle!!! The flavours were delicious with the chillis, scallions, and garlic. And for the price, the portion was HUGE, I could barely finish it.
10/10, I'm going to come back every week for this o(^o^)o

Can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Stopped by for lunch today and had the spicy shredded pork noodles. The hand stretched noodles were delicious and chewy. The topping was super tasty and not too spicy. I'd have personally liked it to be slightly sweeter, but no major complains.

The portion size was huge. I had a very good go at it, but still ended up taking half of it home with me which will easily be an evening meal. For the quality and quantity, $17 is absolutely incredible!

Love this place. A go to when coming to Burwood even with the amazing selection of other Chinese restaurants. Lamb skewers are a must. Other standouts are their spicy beef noodle soup and all noodle dishes more generally. Also there is a great dish with stir fried greens and eggs. Staff are friendly and fast. There is often a line but it moves fast enough and is worth the wait.

Drawn in here by the sign stating, ‘Hand made noodles’ and was definitely not disappointed! I ordered the stir fried chicken hand made noodles which were super delicious. The noodles were super long, chewy and flavourful with the sauce and chicken they were cooked with. I recommend adding chili oil and soy sauce for extra flavour. For $14.5, you cannot complain whatsoever with the generous portion and great food.

eftpos available
$20 something - mid $20 for the bowl I ordered
handmade noodles with roasted beef soup

noodles soaked up the soup, so when I bit down, they released their juicy goodness.
Simple arrangement with square tables and chairs.
Food comes out incredibly quick and orders are turned over as soon as they come in.

Short walk from Burwood Station.
Within walking distance of the ice cream joints and local park.

restaurant gets busy so alternatives for similiar food would be 'Dumpling King',
'1919' + '1915' all located on Burwood Rd.

Busy place, tasty food, fast service, great price, friendly staff. Ordered the cold bean pasta, lamb skewers, handmade noodles with roasted lamb, and a leek box, a coke and a water. Total was about $60, and we took home probably about 1 dish worth of food. Recommended.

So delicious and a very cheap filling feed! 😊 A short wait at the beginning but definitely worth it. The spicy handmade lamb noodles were irresistible - the kind of dish you’ll keep going back to. I also liked the beef noodle soup but wish it had bok choy (or some other vegetable) and lowkey second tier to Lanzhou beef noodles. The staff were a bit rude but it’s okay for the value for money.

Delicious hand made noodles, large portions and great value for money. The texture of the noodles is firm and chewy.

Delicious chewy handmade Noodles with large portions. Decent pricing for the portion. The service was super quick and accommodating. You get tea instead of tap water which is a nice touch. Will definitely return.

This place has always been a favourite. A cosy, local haunt. Even though I've moved away from the area I'd still makev the drive for their hand made noodles - soup or dry.
My favourite dishes are the hand made noodle soup and the black fungus fried with egg. The lamb skewers are good, too. Actually, I've not tried any of their dishes that were subpar.

Wow. Very good. A gem.

Had the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, fried pork dumpling, and the chicken fried rice.

All were generous servings & very good. But the soup was next level - complex flavours and proper spicy. Excellent.

Best place for noodles. Long, thick chewy handmade noodles can’t be beaten. The oil splash noodles or the spicy lamb noodles are my absolute favourite, and you get a huge portion. Gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights, so come at 5:30 if you don’t want to wait.

Have also ordered on Uber and the noodles travel well.

One of the best Northwestern Chinese restaurants in Sydney, without a doubt. When dining in, you must get the oil splash noodles (also recommend the ”cold bean pasta“ or 凉皮), but for takeaway, we weren't sure that would travel so well, so went for the lamb onion noodles (凉面烤肉), the fried meat-filled buns (水煎包) and dry-fried lamb ribs (风味羊排). All good picks - the roasted lamb is masterfully seasoned with chilli and cumin - so much flavour - while the handmade noodles are deliciously chewy. The meat-filled buns are filled with pork and green onion - juicy filling with great flavour, and the bottom of the dumpling is pan-fried so a little crispy. The lamb ribs are a little heavier on batter than is my preference, but great chilli cumin flavour again.

Weeknight fresh noodles fix
We loved this place, delivered what it promised:Fresh noodles done right. Burwood has a lot of Asian eateries but only some of stood the test of time. This modest restaurant only has a few tables and an extensive menu but we decided to stick to noodles. We chose : Stir-fried chopped noodles with lamb, spicy shredded pork noodles and lamb skewers. The skewers were just ok but the 2 noodles dish were stunning. We love Asian food and always keen to try something new. I would just say worth many visits for fresh, flavoursome and reasonably priced food. We paid $41 for the 3 dishes mentioned.

My family used to always come here for its northwestern Chinese food, and we have never been disappointed. I ended up ordering 2 rounds of the lamb (beef) skewers because they were just too good. The nice hot, flavourful dumplings, brought back so many memories. Moreover, the chef's in the kitchen like to sing along with the music and it just made the restaurant feel welcoming.

Great place to go if you are hungry and fancy some rustic Chinese noodles. Noodles are excellent. Very chewy. Venue very non-descriptive. Unless your date is a foodie, not a date venue.

The best northern chinese food I've had in Sydney. The portions are great and the flavours are amazing. I've tried a few of the popular chinese noodle houses in the city and they're noodles are far from the texture and flavours from here. Everything is made to order so dumplings will take a while to come out. The skewers are a must try and my favourite is the cold noodles with lamb and cumin. The food is always consistently good. Sometimes it can get busy towards the end of the week and theres a wait list.

Been there as my friend brought me in. I could feel that this is good place to have noodle. Hand-made noodle is chewy and well made. Sauce and soup is suitable for noodle dishes. Portion is enough for one person. Highly recommend
