Lovely owner run restaurant on Albion St. Waverley.... serve authentic Vietnamese dishes. Tried their Beef Noodles Soup and Fried Noodles. Delicious!

Lovely Vietnamese food in a simple setting. Tasty food, winners are beef in black bean sauce, veggie and tofu stir-fry and prawn pancake. It’s BYO which is always great. I will continue to visit this little gem.
Can you pls turn down the aircon and play some music? It would be good for ambience rather than a dead quiet venue:)

This restaurant served excellent Vietnamese food that I’ve ever had in my life! I ordered prawn pancake, pho, Bun bo xao and prawn rice paper roll. Everything was super delicious !!! I hope everyone can visit this place if they want to try exceptional Vietnamese food.

We dined fairly late on a Thursday night and Uyen Vietnamese Restaurant was still quite busy. Our meals were delicious and portions were substantial. I'd never heard of deboned chicken wings before so had to try them. They were extremely tasty. There is not much except for the chicken on that dish, so you may need to order something else with veggies. We were sharing a plate of stir fried mixed vegetables with tofu and there was a huge range of veggies included, lots of them and very tasty too! We also shared one serve of rice which was so large, it was more than enough for the two of us.

Four of us had a meal last week and loved it. BYO with uncomplicated menu but more than enough choice and the food was very tasty indeed. Lovely staff too, daughter Vivian doing the ordering/serving and up for a chat with dad doing the cooking. A really nice experience, highly recommended.

Cute little BYO restaurant. Good beef pho. Not a lot of tables I would recommend booking in advance.

Simply the best of the best! Authentic magnificent food. Wonderful service, lovely staff and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

We have been back to Uyen a number of times since my original review a year ago. We've been back with groups of friends or just with our immediate family. Totally happy with the food, the service and the prices. We consider ourselves as "discerning diners" when it comes to Vietnamese food, and to date we haven't found any place within the eastern suburbs that would beat Uyen!

Fantastic food! The deep fried snapper is incredible! I took my friend here for her birthday and we were going to order desert for her birthday but we were full by the end. I thought we just wouldn't have desert but brought out a candle and some lint balls so we could sing happy birthday. It was really sweet and a really nice surprise. Also the wait staff are excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly. Love it here can't wait to go back!

Excellent food! My partner and I went for the first time the other night without a reservation and we were lucky to get in. The service was excellent and the food was extremely good. I highly recommend this place as it is a family owned restaurant and you can tell by the quality of the food and service they provide.

No this place has a basic broth to drive 20 km to enjoy. The owners both former Petro Chemical Engineers have just got the best food. Simple honest flavoursome food..we go there when covid permits. Support YOUR local Vietnamese restaurant...tell them their broth is thin or wonderful...they thrive on feedback.

Great food, enjoyed the king prawns with sea moss and especially the sticky black rice with caramelised banana desert. Yum! Most impressed with the speed of delivery of dishes to the table. The staff and owners were really nice, most welcoming. Thanks for a great meal!

Super! 2nd time we've eaten here. It would be the 12th time if it wasn't so far away for us. The service is terrific. Dishes arrive quickly. Food is delicious. I'm ordering a sizzling plate next time.
