Gogyo Surry Hills

Average food. The ramen for me is a bit strange. Not sure why the mince on top was cold. The soup tastes not very Japanese.

Their Japanese curry is just game over, very tasty. The table next to me got the same dish and I could hear them saying "this is so good" about four times 😂 I dislike eggs but ate the one in the photo and enjoyed it for what it's worth.

Very beautiful ramen experience. Enjoyed the full course of Japanese dinning here. The ramen was the highlight.

Gyoza were nice but the salmon and squid were refreshing (not bad but dont remember much). The broth of ramen is flavoursome and each ingredient just stands out well while blending well with the ramen. Very nice.

The macha softserve and creme brulee were average. Next time I would go straight into ramen and nothing else. :)

The rice bowl portion is small, so we decided to order ramen again, luckily the ramen also delicious.
After I tasted all of the food, I can say, all is delicious.

Affordable and enjoyable, good size meals. So be hungry when you arrive.

We ate here on a Monday night. It was crowded but we were able to get a shared table seat without reservations. The food was very good, I enjoyed my ramen and my pork was like butter. The service was very lacking, having to track down servers to order food, get more water. The food was delicious though!

Brilliant food, we always travel to this restaurant when we are in Sydney. The best wagyu spring rolls and gyoza also the rice is cooked beautifully. What an amazing atmosphere and service is fast also. Great place to come.

Surry Hills is known for lots of hidden gems. Gogyo is one such ramen gem. Love the rich traditional flavour with a modern take of layered sophistication. Will have to try the karaage next time as that looked tantalising.

Ramen was a delight here, we ordered the special bowls but they are very generous servings so you can get away with just the normal size tbh. Just needs a better communication system as we asked for no beans sprouts and they still gave bean sprouts for us.

A Five-Star Delight!

Gogyo Surry Hills is the bomb! The moment you step in, the mouthwatering food smell grabs you. The place is spacious, with plenty of bar table options. And let me tell you, every dish we ordered was pure awesomeness! The presentation was spot-on, and the service was crazy fast. The staff? They were all nice and kind. No downsides at all. I'm hooked and going back every week. Gogyo Surry Hills rocks!

Kogashi Shoyu Ramen is my favorite here! They have this smokey flavor from burnt shoyu (I think), and it's absolutely marvelous! I know that usually people would prefer tonkotsu ramen since the broth is thick and rich. But this ramen has different charm to it which is quite refreshing to try :)
Also, I must say that the Wagyu Sukiyaki Spring Roll is mind blowing 🤯, I've never tried this kind of dense stuffings in a spring roll before, but it is actually really good!

I'm amazing for this restaurant. Before I did review I been there more than 3 times and try different thing. Seriously everything is yummy. (accept the octopus that come different side, not the same big) my fav us the Remsn miso soup and Salmon sashimi.

An amazing restaurant. While visiting Sydney we found this restaurant. The service was great the food is out of this world and the atmosphere incredible. If you are in Sydney this is a must visit. Thank you to the staff that made our visit so enjoyable. Please open a restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand.

Delicious tonkotsu ramen! Beautiful noodles, pork and broth. I recommend anything they have all delicious and fresh and cooked perfect 10/10 tastes like being back in japan.

Gone back a few times and have had the katsu curry and teriyaki chicken. And everything is just so delicious!!!

That was one of the best vegetarian ramen I've ever had. Spicy cucumbers and rock potatoes were great as well. Friendly & quick service. Visiting from the States and I wish we had a restaurant like this back home.

A place where you can eat real sushi, not rolls.
The atmosphere is great, and above all, it is a Japanese restaurant that tastes similar to what I ate in Japan. Another good restaurant I want to go again !

First time here and everything was 5/5.
Food was perfect. Service was really good and staff was friendly and helpful.
Got spicy ramen which was perfect, salmon sashimi was also very good and had a unique taste to it.
Definitely recommended.

Between the two of us, we over ordered but still cleaned the plates. The place is absolutely pumping so make sure you get a reservation. Friendly service and exciting Japanese inspired a la carte menu, we enjoyed all dishes as well as the Japanese beer on tap
