It's becoming a rarity to have a local GP that treats you like a family member. Dr Nagy Basta has been my GP since my high school years and he's always a delight, honest and helpful. He will always ask if there was anything else you wanted to discuss before closing the appointment, and is generally a happy chap who will chuckle along if you shared a joke or two. Because of this, I travel more than 1.5hrs to see him.

He has now joined the Burwood Westfield Medical Centre (top floor of Westfield, opposite Woolies).
His former medical room was an encyclopaedia with all the papers but he knew where everything was - like a genius of a magician. His new medical room now has a gaming keyboard that lights up 😎

I admire Dr Basta's integrity and he always dealt with matters respectfully and honestly even if he was unable to attend to them, including a pap smear because there wasn't a female nurse onsite. He has never judged me nor made me feel inadequate - why I mention this is because of an upsetting experience I had from a different GP in Five Dock, and I think it's important to be transparent with health professionals you are supporting.

I’ve been a patient of Doctor Basta for many years. He’s a very good kindest spiritual and very humble gentleman.
He tells you how it is. eg if you’re over weight he will tell you Etc.

Dr Nagy Basta is not exactly kind and gentle, but he is very professional, and so far his prescriptions always worked 100% in one single appointment: no waste of time and he is very mindful about the cost of medicine. Furthermore, his practice offers walk-in and bulk bill. 5 stars is a minimum :)

Doctor Basta is a true gentleman. He listens carefully and actually provides some advice when compared to other GPs. He is also very considerate and offers discounts to people not on Medicare

Dr Basta is simply the best, down to earth with real honest advice and vast knowledge, he cares and doesn't rush like other doctors who are in it just for the dollars. Keep it up.
