Outstanding restaurant and cocktail bar.
Bartenders are immaculate with service and help picky drinkers like me figure out what they want.
Food is very yum yum & music always on point.
Such a cool spot as well as you can enter off Enmore or king st.
Be careful you might have too much fun here and won’t want to leave!

Loved the way they have transformed the old Buzz Bar. Has awesome staff and very inventive drinks. Plus they make the classics just as you would expect. We didn't have any food, but would have if we were hungry- the options on the menu looked delicious. Can't go wrong with a stop here for drinks and good times!

The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, creating a pleasant ambiance.

The service was excellent, and the drinks were enjoyable. Overall, a great experience with a nice vibe.

Absolutely delicious cocktails. Great atmosphere and epic decor. Great music selection, and the owner is a dead set legend! Extremely hospitable venue. Visiting from Perth and this bar is absolutely amazing. Wish it was in Perth so I could be a regular. Would rate higher, but google won't allow it.

UNCANNY Bar in King St Newtown has a dark velvet interior, a good sound system - a variety of seating options and excellent air conditioning. If you are meeting up in Newtown for dinner I would definitely start here - who knows you might not leave.

Updating previous review, y’all got basturma back and I love it 11/10 on everything. Absolute favourite cocktail bar, if you like a cool geeky vibe with amazing service, people, food and drinks then you’ll love uncanny. Only thing I could think of is the music is really good but need an update to the playlist.

The place is such a vibe and the food is out of this world. Definitely recommend the dirty potatoes and the eggplant salad. What a combo washed down with one of the best espresso martini’s I’ve had in a long while! Enjoy guys! 😉

Awesome little cocktail bar with an amazing variety of drinks available. It's really hard to choose from the huge selection but the bartenders are very knowledgeable so I suggest asking them for some ideas if you're unsure. They're definitely not stingy with their pours and the food was super amazing too. I was there with a friend for a quick drink but there seemed to be a lot of couples on dates and it's a very trendy set up and atmosphere. Definitely worth a try

Went on a Saturday night for a drink & bites. Fantastic range of classic and unique cocktails, good selection of wine and beer. We shared some tapas. The dirty potatoes was my fav.

Great bar with very welcoming staff. They’re happy to make whatever you like. Grasshopper for me (sorry not the best but made quite well). Definitely worth a visit and not simply just another bar in Newtown!

Cool venue. Good choice of cocktails (all named for pop culture references... cute). My fave was the Gundam - gin and sake based with citrus flavours. VERY friendly owner who will chat and serve you personally. Bar staff were all cool too. Good music, everything from Depeche Mode and Silversun Pickups to classic Elton!! We had a good arvo here. 👍👍

Great cocktail bar with good food and the best part you can bring your dog here :-) I only went here for drinks and the negroni was excellent.

Staff are super friendly and nice. We did try some of the food and it was also very good. Happily come here any day.

What a cocktail! House signature margarita cucumber and lime delicious. Brilliant soul/Motown DJ Saturday afternoon. Food was tasty. Staff friendly and attentive, highly recommend this little niche small bar.

Sometimes I want to be anonymous and ignored, much to my delight and detriment there is too much love and friendly vibes here, came for a quiet beverage now am stuck coming back regularly because I can't help it.

The crew are team are relaxed, the drinks fancy and food banging.

A hidden gem that I discovered yesterday through a friend who is a regular there... very nice atmosphere with the band playing, a great customer service with waiters always checking on you.. Amazing for drinks and dinner... the interior is simply mind blowing as it is my style of spaces.

A friend introduced me to this bar not to long ago. Came back with my love and this time tried the food and omg my happy place! Jaiden and the owner were awesome and looked after us really well! So welcoming! Awesome cocktails too! We will be back!

Pretty sure I was here on one of their busiest nights ever, ordered two cocktails and had the usual expectation of at least a half hour wait. These legends managed to get the drinks to our table in 15 minutes. First class cocktails served to the table by clearly one of the most popular bars In Newtown within 15 minutes on their busiest night has to be a good sign. Also they have delicious bread. Good good good

Cold night but a warm place to share some laughs with friends. I went for the first time to Uncanny and I'm definitely coming back. Friendly staff, great food. The cauliflowers OMG .. delicious 😋.
