The best seafood chowder I've ever had. My husband had fish and chips which was also good. Lovely view over the ocean as the sun set. Friendly staff. Recommended

Oh WOW.. Went here for lunch cause it was dog friendly, beautiful sunny day and the view of the beach was amazing .
Read all about there signature dish Seafood Chowder and boy it did not disappointed. My hubby had the Chicken Parmigiana and let me tell you.. we have been living on the rd for 10yrs now and he said it was the most tender yummy chicken Parmigiana he had eaten and I tell you I had some of his also and it was amazing..the Asian slaw was tasty , the beer was so cold.
The staff were 20/20 and friendly and we had a great time here today and will be back..

Our main meal took 1 hour to arrive, we almost left, Staff acknowledged they were having difficulties in the kitchen and gave us a substantial discount. They were honest and apologetic about it.

Fabulous 👌🏾 but strictly personal taste, I would have loved a sweetish dressing with my coleslaw salad. In hindsight, I should have ordered the grilled fish instead of trying the fried.

The seafood chowder is delicious. The salad that comes with it too. The prawn taco are pretty good too. The view to the ocean with surfers is nice. Went for good walk on the track in front of the restaurant after dinner.

The view is amazing. We had delicious wine with freshly home-made burgers and fries. I can recommend it, 5 out of 5!

🍽🏖 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐰 beachside eatery with high ceilings and large glass windows to let in all the beautiful seaside sights.

🍺🐟 Beer-battered fish & chips, 🍔pulled pork burger & 🥩 sanga steak were all juicy & yummy, and very well washed down by a pot of Little Creatures Ale. 🍻

One of the aspects of the Southwest region I appreciate most is how friendly many people are. Simon's is an example of this, with proprietor Rose welcoming us and chatting at the end of our meal, husband Simon stopping by with a joke or two, and even their daughter displaying great social skills as she served us well.
The seafood chowder lived up to its reputation, and the other dishes were great. My wife enjoyed the wine she quaffed too.
The casual atmosphere here that others remark on in reviews can be a real plus: it's a classic Australian place in so many ways, and representative of the southwest especially. 😊

Got the seafood chowder as recommended by all the other reviews. It was soooo good! Creamy yet not too overpowering. Balance of the freshness from the seafood was just right! Finished every bit of it! What more with a great view of the beach!

A group of 5 of us made a reservation for the restaurant in advance, because it was already dark when we arrived, so we didn't go to the seat where we could see the sea. The interior decoration is very beautiful, suitable for a warm chat atmosphere after dinner. Meals had special chef recommendations each day and we enjoyed delicious recommended meals. Also very full to eat. Also enjoyed the delicious red wine and had a very pleasant evening.

Service is absolutely amazing. Food is delicious. Only real negative i have is that the portion sizes are a little small, especially with the main salads.

Simon's waterfront restaurant has most definitely earned its 4.3 star review and should be higher. A little tricky to find being right next to the life saving club however signage is present on the building.

Prompt service from staff and an immediate upgrade to a table worth the waterfront view. Large variety on the menu and plenty of delicious beer and drink options. Definitely an excellent tourist dining experience to anyone visiting the area.

From the outside it looks like a non descript surf lifesaver brick building that dots the Aussie coast... however that facade hides a charming, warm and friendly restaurant. We had a great meal here. The staff were helpful and friendly. The menu was varied and the quality was exceptional. My MiL commented her plate has the best Asian noodle ever (and she's Asian). Lol. Highly recommended for an enjoyable evening.

SIGNATURE dish seafood chowder was exceptional and thanks for cooking mine without garlic. Great Ocean views topped of the night.

A great place to spend Good Friday! We had the seafood chowder and the seafood linguini and would recommend both! So fresh and tasty. The service was great too, and the view is spectacular! Would recommend!

As all the other reviews state the chowder is an absolute must have, would happily pay $40 for it again, worth it! Service was great and has a lovely view of the water.

If you are taking a vacation or passing by Warrnambool, this place is a must visit. Be sure to book before you go during peak hours. I had dinner and breakfast from here, both of which were excellent. Loved the ambience and seating with the beautiful view of the ocean. Must try- simons seafood chowder, steaks.
