Daly's Clearing Camping Area

Decent little spot less than 2 hours from the city. Plenty of space, but I feel like it would get crazy busy during holidays and long weekends.
Had a long drop, but bring your own toilet paper.

Huge area but a bit light on for perfectly flat spots. Cleanest drop toilet in Australia. The road in is a bit corrugated at the start but pretty good for the 4 km.

Visited mid-Jan for a few days, camping area was open but other parts of the trails/ forests were not. A large open space, about a dozen other campers there. Some grassy areas, some tree shade protection. 1 drop toilet with hand-wash tap (non-drinking water) which was well stocked with TP, and the Ranger drove round few times a day.
A very peaceful camp with time to relax in nature (although had 1 bar Optus reception), there was a lake (non-swim) next to the campsite that had heaps of butterflies in the trees too, very pretty.

First visit to have a look around and drive some fire trails. We all had a top day. Drop toilet at the camping ground and plenty of level ground for tents and vans.

Signs at belangalo rd say all forest roads are shut and forest is closed, only half true.
Daleys is open via Belangalo rd and Daleys rd only., yes the rest of the forest and all other roads are closed to all traffic.
We stopped at the entrance to the forest where a driver of a truck told me that Daleys clearing was closed, B.S.
We went in and another caravan was here, so don’t let any truckers tell you different,
Daleys is OPEN.

Great camping site. Maybe not the ideal place if you're after total serenity since the forest attracts trail bike riders and off road drivers.

Free camping spot, and it delivers way more in value. One toilet, dogs are allowed, and most importantly fires are allowed! (BYO firewood). There is a catchment, however it was closed off from storms. There is also a different State Forest that was closed nearby, and I believe there are 4x4 tracks / dirt bike tracks nearby but I didn’t see them.

Lovely place to go camping in a middle of the conifer forest.

I loved camping here, such a welcoming site with a wide open sky. Amenities are only a drop toilet, but you're not too far from Exeter and Bundanoon where you can get food and water. Camping here was a blast with a bright night sky and brisk early mornings. I can't wait to come back!

It's Friday, but there aren't many people. It's the best way to rest quietly.

This is a popular camping site, catering to a broad range of camping styles. Vans & motor homes can find a few spaces, 4WDs too, and a large area is fenced off preventing vehicle entry ... this space has tables and fire places and is a great tent pitching area. Be prepared to share the many road trails with motor bikes as well. With a clean toilet, paper provided, it provides the most essential convenience. Wood of the fallen variety is aplenty but bring your own, you will not be sorry..

Came here after we went to a different campsite that was too pact for comfort. It is beautiful here, you can usually have fires in the fire buckets provided, although signs are up at the moment stating no fires. A few dirt bikes came early the next morning which was fine for us as we were already awake, although they definitely would have woken the rest of the campers up. Loved being in this area, very beautiful.

Nice camping ground, few roads in forest are closed due to weather and work commitments, mushrooms are already being here.

Good location for a free camping site, it was very busy when we were there. It gets cold at night, so prepare properly if you are sleeping in a tent. It's a pretty area, with unique pine trees.

I visit often and use the area when I go trail bike riding. It can get busy but it's great for a quick getaway. Approx 1hr sourh of Sydney. No power or water but that's what makes it great.

Great spot for an overnight stop on way north or south. Not far from highway but secluded and spacious and peaceful. Great bush toilet too...highly recommend. This was our 3rd visit.

Awesome place to camp you don't have to camp in the main area if you're happy to camp without a toilet as there is heaps of open areas in camp in

Beautiful camping spot only an hour from Liverpool. One drop toilet and no showers but great for a day trip or overnight
