So far, the most authentic Malaysian restaurant on the North Shore. Be sure to try their other non laksa (very spicy for those that aren't spice inclined) dishes for something different.

Very friendly owners and great tasting authentic food.

Very authentic Malaysian food. You named it you get it here from char kueh tiaw, curry laksa, noodles, fish head beehoon to stir fried radish cake. Small sitting area downstairs but they have more sitting area upstairs. Free tea/water and lots of chilli.

Wow! Peanut Paste dessert brings back memories of Malaysia. Well done Alex! Introduced the wifey (your regular Thursday and Sunday late night before you close shop customer) to it and she loves it! $6 well worth it! Even better if you can introduce "woh Peng" or Chinese pancake which will go super well with this. Best Malaysian Chinese restaurant in Chatswood, Sydney and some say Australia (sorry ah copyright PCK)!

Been here 3 times. Never been disappointed. Laksa and char kway teow are the best. Service is excellent. Slightly pricy, but worth it.

I had a really good chat with the staff while waiting for my take away - they were so friendly. Despite that I did not come for conversation, I was there for food...

And boy is it good! I've been sizing up restaurants by the quality of their beef rendang and this place is the best I have been to for a few years. Awesome food, I'll be back. ❤

Had one of the best Malaysian food in Sydney. The duck egg char kuew teow was one the best if not the best!

If only the place was easily accessible and had dine in it would’ve been perfect, but apart from that, the food was awesome and would definitely recommend it!

Such an awesome place, they have moved from Victoria Ave in Chatswood to Willoughby. This is take away only now so please keep that in mind. They offer a great variety of Indonesian and south east Asian food. You would want to eat it while its hot, there is a park across the road if you want to eat immediately

Amazingly consistent and flavourful authentic food. Har mee broth has amazing depth

Had the Chili pan mee and portions are generous, chili got “kick” too. Veggies, anchovies all tastes fresh, noodles freshly cooked. Egg is done just nice - not over or undercooked, just enough to pop and be mixed together with the noodles.

The atmosphere is 5 stars because there is none, it is strictly take away but there is a good park nearby for a Malaysian picnic. Get some food from Rasa Sayang, pick up some durians on your way and the whole group can be squatting at the park experiencing the Malaysia way of eating strret food. For an upmarket experience consider bring plastic stools to sit on as an alternative.

So stopped by for a late lunch on my way to somewhere else. What a surprise to find my favourite dish - beef rendang - on the menu, and then to find that it's the best rendang I've had anywhere in Sydney. Wow! Beautiful flavour and texture. The sambal chillies were just awesome. I told the chef before I left. Magnificent! I look forward to trying other items on the menu over time

I'm so glad Chef Rasa Sayang is back!!! The dishes are as good as before and the spices are on point, especially if you love spicy food🔥 Location now on Willoughby Road is easy to park in front of the shop or down Frenchs Road. Will come back for more takeaway!
