Chargrill Charlie’s Dee Why

Where on this gracious green earth do I begin?
5 years ago, my dear friend Dean (pictured) recommended The Chargrill Charlie’s Restaurant to me. I just thought, “Oh Dean, that’s just another chicken shop. Why do you keep talking about it?” I thought he had an obsession with chickens and I was beginning to worry. I attempted to ignore him, but just as I thought I’d forget, I was reminded. Then, it escalated to everyday that Dean said “You MUST go to chargrill Charlie’s.” One fine afternoon in the Scorpio season of 2018, I caved and attended the fine establishment. This was the day my world changed. Everything I thought I knew was a lie.

Now to this day, I have chargrill Charlie’s most weeks. Yesterday I walked in after ordering on the app (as I always do to rake up and redeem my charming Charlie coins - the real ones know) and my order was packaged and ready for my consumption within minutes. I sat myself down in the spacious, organised, thoughtfully decorated, fine establishment that you fine people have taken upon yourselves to create for your dedicated customers. I open the bag to a phenomenally packaged array of food and begin removing the burger box from my Charlie bag. I open the box to find a burger that looked like it was created by God, Our Creator, Himself. The bun - golden and toasted to perfection, smothered in a creamy, smooth, deluxe mayonnaise. The tomato, lettuce, and onion blessed my mouth with an explosion of fresh, nourishing, crisp goodness. The chicken squirted in my mouth, providing my palette with an abundance of spice, succulence, and moisture - and its juices slowly and sensually trickled down my throat. I let out a soft moan without hesitation. It was time for the chips.

The chips fit like a glove in my large mouth. Their salt and seasoning initiated an overwhelming influx of salivation which leaked all over my Charlie table. I was in a state of pure euphoria. The staff are always so sympathetic, gentle, sensitive, and brave. They wear their hearts on their sleeves in that kitchen and thrust their passion into each and every meal. Charlie never fails to disappoint and I can always rely on them for a fulfilling, nourishing, and out of this world meal. I will be forever grateful to my dear friend Dean for his recommendation, and like him, I will continue to spread the Charlie spirit around the world.

Came to Chargrill Charlie’s after a day at the beach and it was the best !! It’s the type of food you crave and need after a day at the beach. It’s gourmet take out food and they have such a range of of options, we got the schnitzel roll with chill aioli and it’s got to be the best roll I’ve had. Staff are also super lovely plus it’s not far from the beach
Definitely a must try if you go through Dee why!!

We came here for lunch after a long day at the beach. They have the best service and very good food variety. We were taking our time ordering, they were nice enough to give us the best offer for very good price.
We will definitely come back again.

Great flavour charcoal chicken and sauces! Incredibly generous with their serving size, help-yourself sauces (Piri Piri, Thai, Lemon and Herb), and evening free sparkling water on tap! The flavours of all the sauces are superb! Very friendly service and even wireless phone charges built into the table booths!!! Can’t go wrong! A welcome addition to Dee why, highly recommended! Can’t wait to come back and try the salads... they look amazing!

This Coogee Bowl is the best.
And Rani is the nicest guy, always smiley, friendly and very polite.

One of the best places in Dee Why to eat, high quality and delicious food! We ordered chicken schnitzel and it reminded us to a milanesa of our country (Argentina). The salads were simply amazing! We definitely recommend this place! 🙌🏼

We enjoyed a late family lunch here on a Sunday. Perfect ordering process. Especially loved the fries, and wedges. Burgers were generous and Chicken moist and tasty. So nice to see happy and friendly staff enjoying their work together. Thank you especially for the FREE large Banoffee pie we shared afterwards 😋😋😋😋😋.

Portugese grilled chicken and the ordinary chicken grilled is tasty, the chicken schnitzel is mouth watering, ths wedges and chips are so crunchy and soft inside and they also have ice creams and mac and cheese! Good to dine in and have ur take away! Good place in over all!

The food here is so yum, I highly recommend the sweet potato fries! All the staff are super bubbly & helpful, it was great having lunch here. :)

Went out to get food for an impromptu Easter lunch with my Nana when our previous plans fell through but everything else was closed. Turns out they had proper lamb roasts with gravy, baked vegetables, bbq chicken and apple pie. Completely saved Easter for my family. Food was excellent.

Lots of choice in food. Hard to chose although have to choose Portuguese chicken as one of staff recommended and won’t let our lunch down. Make us happy with the complementary dessert by the Manager of store.. walllah😋😋😋😋 love to visit again
