Raw Bar

After weeks and weeks of trying every lamb chop, meat pie, Ozzie beef and barramundi, we just wanted something simple fresh and clean tasting, no sauce, no frying. Raw Bar to the rescue! A giant delicious salad that we split, a plate of the house selection sushi plate with outstanding sashimi and the biggest hand roll I've ever seen did the trick for Mark and I. The hand roll was more like a Japanese burrito it was so big. The fish was fresh, the preparation simple (no weird mayo sauces just straight forward) and the veggies perfect. Our Italian server was funny and personable. If we lived in Bondi it would def be a regular spot.

Such a fun place to eat with a relaxed vibe and positive energy. There was a cool breeze outside so we requested an indoor table but they got us in, served us quickly, and kept on filling our drinks. Wait staff were great and some tables were close enough to enjoy with the people around you too.

Arrived on a Saturday night and it was busy but only a 15 minute wait which was impressive. Great system of texting to let you know when your table is ready.

The staff were all polite and attentive even though it was so busy for them.

Loved the drinks and the food was so fresh and tasty. Great menu selection. Came out staggered which I enjoyed.

The place is in a great location, the atmosphere is nice. Food is of good quality, yes prices can seem expensive but please keep in mind is a sushi bar in front of one of the most popular beaches in the world so I think price is right for the quality, atmosphere and location.
Service could be faster but no major complains, the bartender poured one of the most refreshing and interesting lemonade I have ever tasted.
If you have a craving for Japanese food and you are in the area I would definitely recommend it.

Gorgeous atmosphere, fabulous food, lovely waiter named Charlie made our experience exceptional. Extremely polite and funny. Overall would definitely recommend it was a night to remeber for my birthday.

I’m new to Sydney and not used to eating out alone! Was made feel very welcomed and didn’t wait long for a table. I had the assorted sushi and some Gyozas. It was very tasty.

I love Raw Bar, or is there best sushi in Sydney and in an awesome location on Bondi Beach. The sashimi here is so fresh as is all of the food and the sure service is great. You may have to wait a while to get in at nighttime as it is a local gem. The prices are high but this reflects the quality of food. There is quite a good wine selection too.

We really enjoyed the food, drinks, and the beach atmosphere. Everything was very fresh and of high quality. Very great food!!
The service and personnel was friendly and contributed to the great experience.

Been enjoying the food at Raw Bar's since dial-up was the latest tech, and let me tell you, these guys haven't lost their touch.

Great sushi spot in bondi. Was very busy so lucky we showed up when they opened to get a table right away. Service was great, food was delicious and well priced.

Had lunch here today. Great food, priced right. Ordered the lunch bento box, Cali roll, soft shell crab inside out roll. Enjoyed all of it, good sized portions.

10/10 firstly to the service, I forgot her name (rlly hope the managers know how great she is) she was so lovely and kind. Atmosphere is so nice, perfect for a date night. Food was amazing! We ordered 2x Bento boxes (could easily have shared one) also recommend the lychee and pomegranate cocktail! Not too expensive but definitely fancy and top quality. Will be back for sure!

Yesterday I shared a meal with my sister and her boyfriend. We hadn’t booked and it was super busy inside. Despite it being winter, strong winds and freezing cold, we decided to sit outside. Caellum and Kyle were our hosts and they could not have been more accomodating. They ensured we had blankets, heaters, and constantly checked in on us. I have an endless array of allergies, both staff made adjustments to every meal and went to every effort to allow us to experience the full range from the menu. It was Caellum and Kyle’s warm hospitality that made our night so lovely. From all of us, we thank you, we all agreed it was the best meal and service we’ve had in years. Since we’ve dined and walk past, they give us a wave, smile and stop for a chat. Thank you!

There's only two sushi places in Sydney that ever exceed my expectations. One of these places is Raw Bar.

I been going there for the last 6 years regularly and still enjoy my order like the first time I went, few of my friends been going there since they were kids and they still do until now.

Its a very small restaurant, they offer delivery and pick-up but I would recommend to dine in just for the experience. The sushi is fresh, very fresh they prepare right infront of you. My favourite dish would be Mt Fuji Roll, trust you must try it, as well as Crispy Salmon Roll. Their drinks also so tasty 😋
