I loved their clam kalguksu and sujebi(수제비). The broth was on point and served as an undeniable combination with the kimchi. With their prompt service, my entire service was extremely satisfactory to say the least!
This is my go to place for all things noodles!

Highly recommend this Korean noodle place called Myeon Sarang. The food offered is reminiscent of the classic kalguksu place that I visited almost religiously in Korea. After a long search I've finally found a replacement.

Ordered beef broth kalguksu - was my first time trying it. It was delicious and a big serving! Service was also lovely. We were going to order the assorted pancake platter but unfortunately it wasn’t available. Would try it another time.

Naengmyeon Reviews: Myeon Sarang (Eastwood)
I am really glad that there is a new noodle restaurant to take Miso Hanki’s place (though I will still miss the old restaurant). Although management is different, their offerings fall into the same vein of Korean noodles such as kalguksu and milmyeon. I wasn’t super enthused to learn that it was run by the same owners as Pujimi. I don’t have anything against their management, just the quality of their cold noodles (I’ve reviewed them previously as 2/5). I came in largely expecting the same dish with the same sickly sweet broth. My expectations weren’t high.
Presentation was really good when it came out; noodles suspended in a golden broth with the toppings nicely on top. I noticed that the broth was cold but not iced. I don’t have a gripe with this, but I do prefer the noodles to stay cold for longer. Now, how would the broth taste?
There was a really sharp attack from the tang in the soup, reminiscent of aged kimchi funk. It wasn’t the sweet I was expecting. Sweetness was much more muted than the cold noodles from Pujimi. The lingering combination of acidity and sweetness reminded me vaguely of tomato sauce. This isn’t a bad thing, just an attempt to describe the sensory experience. There was small savoury character from a beefy note in the broth. It was good to know there was effort put into this broth. As I came to know the broth, I would say the tanginess was more powerful than I liked.
Noodles were light-coloured buckwheat, cooked well, chewy, not soft and with no off flavours. Amount was generous, no complaints here. Cucumber slices were fresh and unpickled. The pear pickles were quite bland. The beef slices looked really good, but were tough to chew.
I found the broth strong by itself, but the flavour didn’t meld or combine with the noodles. In fact, I found it tasted a bit weak; a spoonful of soup would be insufficient to flavour a mouthful of noodles. There was nothing fatally wrong with the dish, I found the elements didn’t sit together all that well. Each element seemed as though there could be small improvements made.
All in all, better than the Pujimi offering, but not a super standout. Myeon Sarang receives 3/5.
I will be back to try their various hotter noodle dishes (and their konguksu, which always seems to be unavailable).
