Barry, Jane and staff were fabulous hosts, and made us feel so welcome. Every detail was perfect; the accommodation, the delicious snacks and meals all made from locally sourced ingredients plus local wines from the Flueriea Peninsula. Barry, was our trail guide; he was informative, professional and ensured everyone enjoyed their day. Sighting the dolphins was a real treat. Many thanks for a memorable adventure.

I would like to thank Jane, Barry & their staff for an amazing 4 days hiking along the Heysen Trail, the panoramic views, wildlife and meals were all excellent. The Southern Ocean Walk would have to be one of the most hidden treasures in our beautiful country.

The four day walk is beautiful, full of ocean views, stunning gullies and a huge diversity of plant and animal life. Barry is an excellent and knowledgeable guide. Jane and Barry (and Jen and TJ) also make sure that the homestead is a lovely place to relax and to enjoy meals as a group.

Just do it!
It's a fantastic 4 days!!
The walk and scenery were breathtaking, the forest filled with flora, fungi, fauna, birds and butterflies. Dolphins and seals clearly visible from the track followed by beach walks with the roar of the surf.
Barry and Jane are the most welcoming, wonderful, warm hosts with incredible attention to detail. Barry's knowledge of the track and anecdotes along the way taught us much about the this unique region.
Canapes by the roaring fire and delicious evening meals using local produce were highlights as was Jane's curated local wine selection. The friendly crew of Fraser, Jen and TJ truly compliment the experience.
Such a memorable experience - thank you Jane and Barry!

Wonderful walk and hospitality. Barry and Jane thought of everything and went over and above any expectations to ensure all our needs were met. The food and accompanying wine and drinks were thoughtfully selected and lovingly prepared. The little touches by Jane such as table decoration and local produce overview truly completed the experience. The walking was stunning and the narrative provided by Barry gave greater meaning. Thanking both Jane and Barry for their overall thoughtfulness and kindness. They truly care.

This was such a great experience in this magical part of the the world. From Jane cooking a fantastic Italian banquet to TJ cooking up a storm with hand-picked fresh produce, then Barry leading us each day through stunning coastal landscapes and sharing his deep love for the Deep Creek area. Do yourself a favour and get down to the great Southern Ocean Walk to disconnect from the digital world for a while and soak up the beauty and hospitality of this gorgeous South Australian southern gem.

Awesome experience with Barry! Not only were the multi day walks exciting, challenging and beautiful, we ate like royalty. The food was so thoughtfully prepared by his extraordinary chef, TJ. And it was paired with lovely local wines. This walk exceeded our expectations in every way!

My 1st guided hike. Barry's support & encouragement gave me confidence. The views were amazing. In early Sept we had lots of wildflowers including native orchids. We saw seals, dolphins, echidna, white bellied sea eagles, plovers, kites & shinglebacks. Barry is such a knowledgeable guide. Fraser our driver gave us geology information. TJ kept us well fed with incredible locally sourced food. Oh, and the local wines with dinner. I'm sure I've put weight on 😃 This is an INCREDIBLE experience. You can't get what we got by just following a map.
Thank you Barry. You've inspired me to see more of my country by foot.

We did this fabulous walk as a group of 8 friends who have all done walking holidays before including Overland Track and Spicers Scenic Rim. This walk was extremely well organised and the scenery was fantastic! Walks were usually around 15km per day and not too onerous for anyone who has a moderate level of fitness. The guiding was done by Barry was very informative and intuitive so as to allow the appreciation of the beauty around us.
The Lodge was comfortable and welcoming and the food and wine was something else!!
This is a small business run by 2 people who are passionate about sharing their love for this beautiful part of the country. Jane and Barry put their heart and soul in to this business and it shows!

What a fabulous walking experience !!
We've done a few walks around our fabulous country and this one rates at the top of the list. Spectacular views, knowledgable and hospitable guides and a well run team. Jane and Barry make the walk so much more special with their hospitality and resourcefulness. The accommodation in the Homestead is comfortable and peaceful, and cosy! Each day of walking provided somewhat different landscapes and foliage, and of course, new stories of the region. Walking was of moderate grade and thoroughly worth it. Needles to say, we would highly recommend this walk.....
