Oscar's at Guildford Landing

Hubby and I went out this morning thinking we were going to have a normal breakfast/brunch and stumbled across this beauty! Such an amazing experience. We ended up treating ourselves to the 6 course meal, which was amazing. Got to try everything on the menu. Kudos to the chef and their staff. Welcomed us delightfuly and catered to our dietary requirements. We didn't expect to stay there a few hours as we had to pick up our daughter from nearby. Once we mentioned that we had to leave earlier than expected it was no problem for the staff there! The meals just kept popping out! To top it off, they even asked if we wanted to take our dessert in a takeaway container as we were going to run late otherwise😍 fabulous place. Thank you for having us. Definitely be going there again.

The food was so delicious and perfectly plated - with such thought and detail - and just beautifully cooked over the wood fire.
We were so impressed!
We went on a quiet Thursday night, the restaurant was quiet but we had wonderful service - and I'm sure that's always there if quiet or busy.
Loved the menu - all the local ingredients and a good WA wine list.
We look forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu.

I actually couldn’t pick a favourite dish! Loved the cod, beef, lamb, potato and dessert. Bonus for dessert being a generous size too 😋

Such a fantastic experience! We were 5 people and chose the 4 course chefs selection. The food was incredible, the staff catered to our dietary requests, the service was attentive and personal. It was a genuine dining experience in the beautiful town of Guildford. Exquisite. Will be back. Do yourself a favour and book a table, you will not regret it.

We came in late for dinner. Instead of turning us away when their kitchen wood fire is dying down, they took the effort to fire it up again just to serve us! We did not finish dinner until past 10pm. The whole time we never felt rushed at all, instead they served us each an additional complementary dish.

Had a delicious 4 course set lunch for my birthday. All the dishes were amazing, love the surprise of not knowing what you'll get! Great service and wines. Highly recommend.

What a glorious night we had. From the brilliant knowledgeable service to the exemplary food and paired wines. Without hesitation, the best meal and service we have had in Perth at any price. Cannot recommend enough. We chose the four course chefs choice menu and paired wines. Every dish was superb. We were too busy savoring the food to take photos. Do yourself a favor.

We ordered the 5 course tasting menu and the food was sublime. The variety of dishes for the pricing was surprising. Service was good and the atmosphere was good too however it was a tad noisy as the dining area was quite tightly packed.

I have been following the journey of Oscars since almost the day they opened for business and on Saturday evening finally had the opportunity to enjoy their talents. We were impressed from the moment we stepped in the door. The venue on Swan street is very easily located with its very own parking. The waiter explained the menu to us and we decided on the 3 tasting plates. 3 of us are non meat eaters and one didn’t eat chicken, but we were assured even at this late notice the chef could accomodate our preferences … and accommodate he did. Each plate was delicious along with the presentation. There was nothing we did not enjoy and we had ample to eat. The price was very reasonable and the wine we chose was also lovely. I’ll definitely be back again and happily invite others to go along and enjoy the very special first class service and gourmet experience.

This was an amazing night out. The waiter explained the menu, we did the chefs choice 3 course option. With three people out of four not eating red meat, one of those did not eat fish. Chicken and pork were not on the menu. Sounds like a challenge? One that the amazing chef met and exceeded! He made sure everyone was catered too in each course, taking time to bring out the food and explain what it was, even though several tables had come in at once. With inventive use of local produce, some of which they grow themselves, infusing it with Australian native ingredients, the menu and food read and ate like a first class journey through the Swan Valley without the excessive price. I have already recommended Oscars to friends and family, I fully intend to go back again!

Second time dining here and even better than we remembered. Oscars ability to accommodate my multiple allergies, while ensuring my husband could enjoy the full tasting menu, was so very appreciated. Also the wines to match the tasting menu is definitely worth doing!

The lamb dish was fantastic! The jus was so flavourful. It was herby, umami, caramel. The different cuts of the lamb also brought the dish to life. Rather than a boring plate of 1 lamb cut, the other parts of the lamb, which had varying tenderness, flavour, brought a surprise element to the dish. All the parts tasted good and were done well. Love the crust on the meat, which gave it both a crispy texture and a charred flavour! Am definitely going back for more.

It was lovely to dine in a restaurant specialising in local produce. The staff were great, attentive but not overwhelming. Enjoyed all the food and drinks. Nice surroundings and quiet enough for conversation. Will definitely visit again.

This is our 3rd visit, this time accompanied by friends. The service was excellent. The waiter remembered us from previous visits, made huge effort clarifying ingredients due to an allergy and, made recommendations as to combinations for sharing. The food was excellent. The taste plates all stood out. The picked vegies, scallops in pea sauce, bugs, the break ox heart (what a surprise), fish, sirloin steak & burnt greens. We decided to go with deserts too and the quality, the prep & plating were sublime. It was another exceptional experience at Oscars, great service & excellent food. Take you team at Oscars

Our party of 7 had a fabulous 4 course tasting meal. The food was fresh, delicious and importantly sourced locally, as is the wine. Service was impressive with each dish explained. My only negative would be the smoky atmosphere- perhaps they need better extraction fans in the kitchen?

Oscar's was highly recommended by previous guests so I thought I would entertain my wife there on her birthday. We shared an Oscar's Classic Food menu paired with Little Oscar's Wine. [The chef kindly agreed to let us indulge in this combination.]
Each of the 4 courses of food were absolutely delicious and were equally matched by their presentation. We finished off with a summer berry and mango eaton mess. It was a perfect afternoon! To top it all off was the attention we got from the manager. He knew his restaurant and served us with dignity and professionalism.

My wife and I went for a Sunday lunch and it was just fantastic. We chose the Classic Oscar chefs menu and it was absolutely amazing.. and filling! the grain dish was epic and my god the lamb was some of the best lamb I've ever had and getting spoilt with three different cuts on one plate... just awesome.

having a restaurant close to us that does such a great seasonal, local food and wine selection is such a blessing.

We had the 6 course menu. The food was beautifully presented and the flavours were amazing. Justin is a fabulous chef and his parents, Uncle and childhood friend were excellent in front of house. They had a wedding at the back of the restraunt, it was Valentine's day and yet service was still faultless. You can feel the family connection and investment. We heard about their establishment from the Perth Foodies Facebook page. We had such a lovely night and can't wait to come back.

The food quality and flavours, wine choices, quality of service was spectacular.
The location sitting outside with the winter sun filtering through with family and a great atmosphere really suited Dad's 80th Birthday celebrations, thank you to the team and the chef from Oscar's

Oscar's just hosted our wedding dinner for 35 of our family and friends and the whole night was incredible! We are both so thankful to the beautiful oscar's family and staff for all their hard work. You went above and beyond our expectations and made our wedding dinner one to remember. The sevice was so smooth and all the food was absolutely delicious! Our wedding guests are all still talking about how much they loved all the incredible food and how outstanding the service was! Special shout out to Drew for all your emails back and forth to make our night perfect and to Courtney your service was exceptional, you made us laugh time and time again and could literally read our minds with what was needed. Thank you so much guys it was a night we and our guests will remember forever.
