So many walks. We went after rain so the creek and cascades were amazing. Went up to the Pyramid. Really nice area and so much to explore. You could spend a week. We did two nights. Qpws fees apply. You can get wifi at the visitor centre to book camp. Limited spots so we had a drive through first. For vans the best one is the first.

Really lovely place to come and explore this granite marvel. To reach the top of the pyramid is a 1.2km walking track. This includes some steep stairs and then a steep walk up the granite rock face. The view at the top is beautiful showing all the granite areas surrounding the pyramid. There is the granite arch which is only a 300m walk through the bushland. At the bottom there is also a water hole area for some swimming.

Beautiful national park with some great walks for all fitness levels, and good facilities at the day use area, highly recommend. There is camping spots available which look quite nice, though no showers.

The Junction is an easy walk along an amazing solid granite creek bed with rock pools.

The Pyramid is a more challenging climb up a large number of steps and then a scramble up pretty steep rock face that can be quite dangerous if you’re not careful - don’t attempt in the wet. But spectacular views of the park and surrounds.

Be prepared for the hike. Plenty of areas to choose from. All hiking tracks are mapped. Make sure get maps from ranger 's office.

Overnight hike, first time visit. Amazing scenery, mix of easy and challenging trails, and lots of wildlife and wildflowers. Could definitely see why it's called 'Place of Flowers'. 🪻First day highlight was almost stepping on a basking taipan. 😬 Don't forget the snake kit! 😅

Amazing experience, we walked up to the top of the pyramid and we ended refreshing our feet at the bottom of the park.
What a surreal experience

This is the coolest national park I’ve been to in Queensland. The boulders are absolutely magical. It really does feel like you’re in the forgotten land of the giants. I was in awe the entire time. We went through the Granite Arch and hiked up the Pyramid. The Pyramid was very steep and there were some areas that were wet and slippery so it was a little scary to navigate around but we made it to the top and it was breathtaking.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

A beautiful National Park.

The picnic/day use area is great. Lots of tables and BBQs. And to top it off...clean toilets!

The trails are well kept and lovely. The walk up to Pyramid Rock is challenging but if you stick to the markers it is achievable.

Great place to stay and unwind. Recently renovated so amenities are excellent (no showers though, as with other state parks). Fires provided on camping spots, bring your own off-ground fireplace for caravan spots. All plots ate large, flat and a good distance apart.

A park reserve keeping the natural landscape of the assuie outback. It was a most wonderful morning walk in the cool winter with the air fresh and crisp. Try out all the trails. The view is spectacular!

We loved this park. Well signposted, good parking, day use area. Clean toilet & soap water. Saw wallaby close to track & Cunningham skink (lizard). Kangaroo on side of road went into Bush.

Great park and camping site. The pyramid is astonishing when you at the bottom and look at it. Full of fun with the climbing.

Fantastic views and excellent camping facilities. The recent upgrades to the camping grounds has provided flushing toilets with cubicles for showers. Plenty of options for tents or camper vans. The hikes are all well laid out and signposted with just amazing views of all the granite country. My favourite place was exploring and climbing all over turtle rock.and climbing up the pyramid is an experience I’ll never forget.

Huge boulders and stunning rock formations. The pyramid is not for the faint hearted, well worth the scramble to the top for an experienced hiker, hiking boots strongly recommend. If you don't want to hike there are lots of lovely walks for most abilities. Don't forget to check out underground creek, worth the little drive from the main camping and day use area. Stop off at The chocolate shop for a treat on the way home, if chocolate is not your thing, pick up some onion jam, so yummy!

This place is awesome for Bush walking, camping and getting away from everything. Well maintained tracks, a good road in (go via the Highway) , good challenges at the end of the walks (the pyramid, the castle, mt Norman). Beware the extreme temperatures, it was sub zero driving rain the first day we were there, about ten to twelve the next. See attached photos.

Wonderful place for a quick walk or a full multi day trip! Great camp grounds and well maintained walking trails. The granite in the park is one of the big attractions with lots of balanced rocks and arches! At the right time or year there are also lots of beautiful flowers. Make sure you book if wanting to camp as it can get very busy. Also remember that even in summer it can get very cold after dark so be prepared!

One of my favourite national parks. Incredible flora especially in spring, but honestly also year round. Information centre has heaps of flora books and information. Great variety of walks too. My favourite flora walks are: The Junction, Granite Arch, The Pyramid (pictured). I have also done The spinx, turtle rock, Castle rock & Mt Norman. These are also great for someone who enjoys a longer walk, but for views the Pyramid is unbeatable. Always wallabies around, especially in the early am & evening.
Nearby National Parks, Bald Rock & Boonoo Boonoo are some of my other favourites! Enjoy and stay safe. I shaare these photos on my instagram @mrplant.identifier.

We had a great experience in this park. It is so special that no other parks can match. The boulds are very rare and spectacular. My kids said they are meteors landed in this spot of earth.

We drove from Brisbane for 3 hours, in a small sedan. The roads are all good, not needing a 4wd. We stopped at Stanthorpe for lunch and arrived at Girraween around 12pm. Walked to the arch, and then to the pyramid. Spent about 3 hours in the park. The pyramid is hard. After a long hill climbing with stairs, the final climb is on the smooth rocks. My kids are scared and stopped without reaching to the peak. Safety first. Even climbing to the half way in pyramid is breathtaking and it is definitely not for weak heart. We had sports shoes and they are not very suitable. Need proper hiking shoes for better grip of the rock surfaces. When it is wet, I can imagine it will be very dangerous to walk on the sloped rock path. Luckily, it was sunny.

We then went to Heavenly Chocolate for an afternoon tea and will have a nighe sleep in Warwick. It was a fun drive and bush walk. Very unique one for us to remember for a long time.
