What a saviour of a place for someone who's on their Ls with the family. Thanks to my fam for the support. Needed to rack up the hours for the log book and what better way to do it than a day trip with Dad and Mum. So yeah, this was a a good rest stop and the scene was very great. Thanks, much appreciated.

Nice little road side stop

A fancy rest area that can't cope with the visitors it attracts.
No loo, no rubbish bin, discarded tires and other litter.
There is a large steel NGARKAT sign. I was expecting that this stop, if not an entry, is connected to the Ngarkat conservation park. It is not. Just a roadside reserve that might be remnant vegetation, might be planted. You can have a walk among or just look at grass trees, banksia, wattle shrubs and local wooly bush.
There are also brass plaques mounted on boulders of Mount Monster porphiry, advising that this area is geographically the Ninety-mile Desert.
It is worth a look if you have time, just keep in mind the lack of facilities.
