The turquoise waters, Fraser Island got lot of sea life. The world’s largest sand island with vibrant rain forest and the World-Heritage-listed sand bar is simply stunning and the perfect spot for beach fishing. There aren’t paved roads here, just sand tracks, making the entirety of Fraser Island one big 4WD, off-roading adventure.

The Island is great and definitely worth a stop if your are passing the region... if not, plan a trip directly. The island self has many things to offer and you will be very surprised of what things you can see.
Additionally it is a very good experience staying at the the kingfisher bay resort.
Thank you!

Had a beautiful holiday on Fraser Island - kid friend - lots to do - lake McKenzie was the highlight of our trip - clear water and a beautiful sunny day. Lake Wabby was also a worth while trip. Champagne pools has gorgeous rocks which makes stunning photos as the waves comes over the rocks into the Rockpool. Saw some dingos chilling on the beach on 75 Mile beach.

Its a really good place to go with 4x4 vans (with acknowledge of the day trip as low wheels, etc). There were plenty of these! There are a lot of lakes hidden in the island so be sure where to go and HOW! Be aware of wild animals like Dingos and spiders & snakes, of course. There is a restaurant (also a resort) that has delicious food!

Beautifully kept in original form with many great beaches and freshwater lakes. Four wheel drive access only with own or hired car. Best experience is to camp at the Island. Dont feed the dingos. Pay attention to the instructions from park rangers.

Love this place so relaxing. Camped there for the week. Great fresh water lakes and creeks to refresh in after the salt water. Lots of whales passing by in front of us.

World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, between Bundaberg and Brisbane off Australia's east coast, is the largest sand island in the world and one of Australia's top outdoor adventures - especially for four-wheel drive enthusiasts. Along windswept 75 Mile Beach, you can see the rusted hulls of shipwrecks, the colored sandstone cliffs of The Cathedrals, and the bubbling fish-filled rock pools called Champagne Pools.
Venturing inland, highlights include crystal-clear freshwater creeks and lakes, some fed by springs, others perched amid towering sand dunes, and ancient rainforests filled with an amazing diversity of plants and animals. Sharks, dolphins, and whales prowl the waters, and the island's fauna includes wild horses, dingoes, bats, sugar gliders, and more than 300 species of birds. Access to Fraser Island is by ferry from Rainbow Beach and Hervey Bay. Four-wheel drive vehicles are essential as the island has no sealed roads.
I'll recommend you to visit there with family and friends 😊

Fraser Island by his self is a wonderful place to go. Visit the lake Mc Kinsley and the Champagne Pool and the wreck before it goes into the ocean 🍾🐟👍 do not forget to take a flight on the beach with Fraser Air, it's fantastic ✈👍 book a tour with SUV tours not a Big Bus Tour like Fraser Explorer Tours! 😩😩

This place is not understated.
An island experience that will want you coming back.

Camping accommodation is cheap and the island has so much to do.

What an amazing place. An island of pure sand. Very pretty and unmolested. So clean you can drink the water straight out of the rivers. We can't recommend enough, you must visit.

Don't forget to give this a thumbs up 👍 if you found it helpful.

Excellent place to stay and camp or holiday in a house/unit. Beware of dingoes and leave them alone. Leave the land as you found it and respect the wishes of the land owners. The creeks and lakes are awesome to swim in.

We really enjoyed our trip to Fraser Island in July. We camped just off the beach in zone 2 and zone 5 for 3 days each, so that we could take in all the sights - Lake Wabby, Central Station rainforest, Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, The Maheno Wreck, The Pinnacles, Champagne Pools, Lake Allom, Orchid Beach. The dingos weren't a problem, yes they came around but we just shooed them away. We saw hundreds of migrating humpback whales on their migration from Antarctica to Hervey Bay. Fantastic sunrises on the eastern side of the Island.

Queensland’s Fraser Island has something for everyone, be it fishing, 4WD Tracks including Beach Driving, relaxing by the pool at a number of the resorts on the Island or at one of the many fresh water lakes, check out beautiful Eli Creek and you’ll never want to go home. Explore the numerous walking trails that criss- cross the island. Visit the shipwreck of the SS Maheno which washed ashore in 1936 during a storm. Fraser Island is accessed by barge from the mainland at Rainbow Beach/Inskip Point or the mainland at River Heads, Hervey Bay.

Fraser Island is magical. It’s best to hire a 4WD from the mainland (it’s cheaper) and explore the island yourself. We spent 3 nights and it was great. There are soo many places to explore either by car or walking trails. Beware of the dingoes though, sone can be very aggressive. Highlights are Lake Mackenzie, champagne pools and Eli creek.

We stayed at king fisher bay resort which food and drinks can be expensive.

This is a must see natural wonder in Australia. The world's largest sand island boasts fishing, crabbing, 4WD, camping, caravaning, and history. Check out the Champagne Pools.
There are definitely dingos about, we saw them every day we were there and found evidence of their midnight patrols every morning. Listen to and follow all the postings you see.
