Sushi Matsuri Hawthorn

I always go to this restaurant for lunches and dinners. All the food there are freshly made. The taste is very good and different from other sushi restaurants. I love their fried chicken and rice cake and the dinner set menu unagi set and their prawn tempura is just amazing! I recommend you going there and have a try. You will love it. The staff there are super nice~

Went there for dinner and was absolutely satisfied! Great service and the staff are extremely friendly. The soy fried chicken is totally on the spot-crispy and juicy! The side dishes go with it were also fresh and tasty :) We also ordered Katsu curry don which is commendable as well. The fairly thick cutlet allows the whole schnitzel remaining juicy and tender after deep frying. This is way better than those chewy, paper-thin schnitzel which its batter coating is even thicker than the chicken itself. Will go back to try another dishes next time!

So Fantastic food, friendly staff and good atmosphere. This place was very easy to find if use train and feel quite brand new _ bright and fancy. I ordered Unagi Set and prawn sush,
it was good size for me to share with my 4year kid. My husband ordered Japanese ramen, the meat was soft and soup was tasty. My 7year son ordered 2 sushi set, he finished all. (He told me that so yummy, couldn't left any pieces.) I'm sure that I will visit there again. :-)

Friendly staff displaying of the food were beautifully done and most of all the food were delicious. We have ordered sushi, nigiri, sashimi, Ramen and dinner set bentos and they were all delicious. The ingredients were so very fresh the sashimi just melted in my mouth.
I would go back there again any time and recommend them very much.

We ordered Deluxe Platter $50 which is all include Sashimi plate and Nigiri plate and sushi roll plate.
Also Chili chicken and Tonkotsu Ramen were both so good.

Amazing discovery in Hawthorn! The range of food is great, the flavours are clean, fresh and delicious! Best part is, the staff are fantastic - very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Had sashimi from here a few weeks ago. Staff was friendly and the sushi was fresh and tasty. A little pricy ($16/box) but that's my only complaint.

Super tasty and affordable platters available here. I tried aburi roll and nigiri platter $60 absolutely loved it full of flavour. Also loved the ramen and it’s broth had just enough flavour not too salty or anything.

I can't find a bad thing about the place, have tried the bento, ramen, curry don, sushi/sashimi, all been incredible. If you are nearby and like Japanese food or have always wanted to try a great example of some then this place is ESSENTIAL! Will be back many times :)

My favorite Japanese cuisine!!!!!! Staff here are all from Korea but really professional and friendly, they all great at consumer services, and food here are tasty and worth for money. Strong recommended!!!!

I think this restaurant is pretty brand new opened one. I’ve ordered a sashimi platter including scampi, which is my favourite. Raw Scampi is my favourite thing in the world at the moment, And the one here was so fresh and yummy. My partner ordered donkatsu ramen and it was amazing. We were thinking to order another bowl of same ramen but we were too full... as we also ordered some deep fried prawns which was amazing. So so crispy and juicy!!! We can’t recommend highly enough. You should try it out if you are around!

tried on a whim a sashimi platter and chicken katsu bowl, and its unreal. i had a platter of salmon, tuna and scallop. i love scallop and nothing usually tops salmon sashimi, but here i fell in love with scallop all over again.

my fav sashimi in melb is usually at maguro in glen and chaddy, and nothing had come close until i had sushi matsuri's. it has a more "real fish" taste - not sure if that made sense.

i loved it so much, within less than a week, i was showing my face back again for lunch. my friend rates the udon bc he says its "one of the clear broth" udons for any udon lovers out there.
can't wait to go back.

It was the best Korean restaurant I've ever been in Melbourne! Especially, Korean style beef gimbap was the best. Various vegetables and bulgogi are in gimbap. I think it's good food for health. I would like to recommend this restaurant!

Service was amazing and food was amazing! Recommend the shoyu ramen, great noodle texture, the egg yolk was golden liquid. Overall great experience.

Tasty miso ramen. Perfect for cold weather. I love eating outside but there are also dining options inside. Service is fast and professional. My go to place in Hawthorn when I crave ramen.

Best sushi we've had in a while. Very fresh and delicately made. The whole family had a great time, thank you.
