Velvet & Willow Wines - Cellar Door, Cafe and Pantry

What a beautiful space. A quaint little cafe in the tiny town of Auburn. It's worth stopping in for a coffee or light snack. I got a nice cappuccino to pair with their home made brownie. An excellent way to spend a beautiful morning in this part of the world. They have an expansive garden you can wander through as well. Or if you like, sit out front and watch the world go by. And wonderful friendly service too.

We had a really beautiful breakfast at this place and the setting in the garden is quite unique. A lovely relaxed atmosphere, good food and service and a great way to start a day

Velvet and Willow is one of the hidden gems of the Clare Valley. Their morning coffees and breakfast in the cafe were fabulous and a wonderful way to begin your day. The wine tastings in their Cellar Door featured their excellent wines and paired nicely with their cheese platter. The beautiful gardens are a wonderful retreat for the mind, body, and soul and a perfect place to relax with your wine or coffee. Their wines are fantastic, especially the newly released 2023 Watervale Riesling. And if you are looking for overnight accommodations, their adjacent Dennis Cottage was warm, clean and cozy.

Best coffee!! Bacon and egg roll delicious too. Perfect first stop when arriving when in the Clare Valley; beautiful shady garden to stretch the legs and relax.

Excellent outdoor and under cover beautiful gardens - Covid safe venue! Great coffee, selection of ham cheese croissants, toasties and bacon and egg rolls. Best for a light brunch. Loved it

Great coffee and lovely setting indoors and out

The Velvet and Willow Pantry is a stunning venue. You can eat inside, outside in the courtyard or under the pavilion as we did. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast / brunch menu has a lot of variety. We all chose the poached eggs on toast....and they were delicious. We also enjoyed a walk around the heritage garden which was truly amazing. A definite place to stop and enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat.

Surprisingly cheap coffee and toasted sandwiches for such an upmarket looking place. Nice staff, yummy food and good coffee. A good way to set yourself up for a drive or even spend a lazy afternoon knocking back a vino or three-for those of you lucky enough to have a designated driver.

The young lady that served us was very friendly, the food ( bacon, sausage, eggs toast was so tasty.) After we had eaten we went a walk around the stunning garden.

Had great coffee here. Good seating area in the garden out the back. The blueberry muffin was nice and sweet. Town history is well worth a look.

Small cafe down the road where we were staying for the weekend. Absolutely delicious food and coffee!! My partner had the bacon and egg burger it was so good he ate it all before I could take a photo! I had for the mi go panini and yum! Something different from your usual breakfast and had a nice spicy kick. Very impressed!

We had a group of 14 come through Velvet & Willow for a guided wine tasting, then breakfast the next morning in late April 2021. A delightful setting with high quality wine, coffee and food. If you are passing through Auburn or staying overnight, be sure to drop in at Velvet & Willow.

PS. They have a magnificent garden out the back so make sure you have a wander around :)
