An absolute must do Cellar Door on your trip to the Clare Valley.
KT is an absolute master wine maker and although known widely for her Riesling, her reds are astoundingly magnificent.
Every wine tasted was sensational.
But what enhanced the entire experience was the beautiful Petrie - Cellar Door Manager.
Watching Petrie work the room was pure poetry in motion. She is just the most warm, charming, welcoming, kind and generous host. I felt right at home immediately and so did all my fellow guests.
Petrie is the consummate host and the most perfect Brand Ambassador for KT Wines.
I'm already planning my next visit in June to see Petrie and try the new releases.

A great, quaint cellar door in Auburn. We were greeted by guinea fowl which roam out the front. Once inside we were warmly welcomed and then sat back and enjoyed tastings of many of the wines, which were delicious.
Well worth a visit!

My first experience visiting the Clare Valley. A region most famous for Reisling; and KT Wines leads the field in this area.
But the hand picked, basket pressed Red Varietals from KT are not to be missed.
Just like the care & commitment for the vines to make their wine; Petrie continues with the care & commitment when you visit the cellar door with her expertise & knowledge of the wines, the history of the area and her warm & welcoming nature & a cheeky sense of humour!
I cannot wait to try their new releases!

Fabulous wine-tasting experience, after our eBike ride down The Riesling Trail from Clare Valley: a great way to recover from the shock of encountering a brown snake…
We were hugely impressed by the variety on offer, dispelling the myth that the region is all about Riesling. At $10pp, to try over a dozen wines, it’s very good value for money. We ended up buying the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Rose, both of which we’re enjoying today with a barbecue. This is why, as Brits, we made the long journey here to escape our miserable winter.

We had a fabulous time at the cellar door, our host Petrie was so much fun. All the products were delicious too, we all left with a purchase & mum's new favourite gin!

Regarding the horrible review of Barry Hopkins on Petrie the host at KT wines. I was their that day with several other groups. We all presumed that Barry was a driver of one of the groups. He sat back away from the bar for a very long period, and it was only when he approached the bar that we realised he was not ‘the Driver’ and wanted a tasting. Petrie was very apologetic to him for the mistake, she was not a mind reader. Petrie should be given praise for the way she was handling several group tastings and for her welcoming manner. A review or ‘attack’ on any person is upsetting and unwarranted.

A stunning, contemporary winery that showcases the best of the region while breaking conventions. The products stand out on their own, but behind each label and bottle is a rich story. These stories were bought to life by cellar hosts Taylor and Petrie who are equal parts passionate and knowledgeable.

Some stand outs for me included the house red Pazzo - Italian for ‘crazy’ - an elegant blend of Shiraz, Grenache, and Cab Sav from different vintages. An easy-going and diverse red that is perfect for entertaining. More elegant yet is the 2017 Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. With notes of chocolate and spice, this smooth red rivals other drops from the Coonawarra and leaves you wanting more.

Of course, there is plenty to showcase the local region (and sub-regions). Whether the dry Melva Riesling with florals and light citrus, or the 2020 Chirunga Watervale Riesling, there is something to delight any palette.

Come down for a chat with the passionate cellar hosts or to learn about the beautiful story behind each bottle and blend. KT wines is a contemporary winery pushing boundaries yet showcasing the convention of craft well worth a visit. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Highly talented and passionate wine maker whose joy comes thru the wine....and do try her Gin. A waterfall of flavours rolling over the tongue to linger gently on the palate letting you savour the moment of taste to the very last sip and beyond.

Eclectic space, nice tasting with excellent wine. Well run by the older lady on Sunday 28 May.

Great tasting with Petrie over the weekend. Loved the new 5452 Riesling and my favourite Peglidis Riesling. Left with quite a few bottles. Loved the 'ambulance' of the cellar door!

A lovely tasting hosted by Kerrie. Her innovation and passion for winemaking produces some of the best wines I've tasted over the years.

To all the wine aficionados and winemakers out there, this place deserve a visit. Not toilets on cellar door, but public toilets just around the corner. Call first to check the cellar doors hours.

A real gem, many amazing wines in a relaxed tasting room. Can recommend everything, as we tasted it all!
