As a backpacker, working in Dicky bills since november. First day I got the job I checked google reviews and shocked. I was not sure what kind of experince I would get after all those comments. Because I had a really bad experince in a farm before. I was on the road already but did not have any chance but keep going. The worst thing would be just working for a few days and leave. In the very first day I met the owners (Tahirih and her husband Ryan) and absolutely loved them! They were incredibly friendly. They helped me thru all the things I needed.

Secondly, my manager (Shubh) also a great lady, a good listener, problem solver, a real hero. And all other team members are awesome as it gets. All the reviews seems to be outdated. Especially today I talked my boss about the reviews she told me they are trying to overcome with the old owners mess ups. Therefore simply ignore the bad reviews this is a great place to work!

The negative reviews on here aren't reflective of my experience at all. The farm in Maffra is a very reliable and enjoyable place for a backpacker to get their farm work done. It is a large farm that provides near year round work and lots of opportunities if you get your head down and work hard. The pay is hourly (above minimum wage) and you often work with and alongside local Australians. This isn't a place that simply rips off backpackers (like so many offering only piece rate). I'm not sure what some people expect with farm work. Yes it is hard and sometimes long work, but you earn well!

Also Tracey is probably only a monster to people who don't make an effort. She actually dishes out some cracking banter!

Don't believe all you read here most is outdated and no longer relevant and before my time.
I was the factory manger for 8 months last year I left due to the travel and out of work commitments. In all a growing business worth giving a go.

The culture is constantly under review in order to improve, Im proud to say I was a part that move forward and wish the team at dicky bills all the best

I enjoyed working here on the outside.

This place has a quick turnover of staff and it's easy to see why.

Quick summary: abusive management, underpaid myself (overtime and promised pay raise which never came) and employees are treated with little regard.

Worked here for a few months and saw some terrible and abusive practices by the management.
I had to deal with one manager who would regularly insult the staff and would brag about firing multiple people whenever she did.
She told me once "Don't worry, you won't have to deal with these people again... this is their last day." With a big grin. They were all good workers and my friends.

I just put my head down and stayed away from the big egos running the place. Did my time even if it took a bit of my soul.

One of the Worst places ive had to work at, supervisor and management are an absolute nightmare to deal with, they are rude and obnoxious, and blame you for issues out of your control.

Underpaid multiple times, the head staff pick favorites in the workplace and the rest become expendable.

Worked several 12 hr shifts and 10 hr shifts with no breaks, team leader didn't care.

I was unfairly dismissed because i was ill one day.

Dont work here, its a unfriendly and hostile work environment.

Tracey is a monster. Really bad manager. She doesn't think and when there is a problem with the machine she yells at you that's your fault. Bad place for 88 days, run away

Verry bad company!! This company recruited employee for the labour inspection and dismissed them after the labour inspection are gone
