Cute little place just off the Chapel street. Korean fried chicken is outstanding. The girls working in the floor are super friendly and helpful. The food is homely and not too heavy. Our favorite Korean restaurant in Melbourne!

The service here is really fast and the food is very well priced. The meals taste great and are good portion sizes. The menu isn't overly expensive but still enough to suite a lot of people, I'll be back

I’ve been to Oishi many times and always enjoyed the experience but was never inspired enough to write a review. This lunch was different. It was the first vegetarian meal I’ve had there and it was just devine. I had their vegetarian kare don and crispy tofu and slightly sweet curry. Definitely a keeper!

Fantastic friendly service, nice atmosphere to eat and chat in, and most important - the food was deliciously filling and well worth the value :)

I took the pork katsu which was great! The curry was tasty and the rice was super soft and yum! It was served with a cup size soup and a huge smile. Highly recommend for a short grab

Nice authentic Korean restaurant. Good food at reasonable prices. The staff aren’t sophisticated but they try hard.

It is such a lovely food to have, Bu dae jjigae(military camp stew) for miserable cold weather in Melbourne is perfect.

One of my favorite places to eat on Chapel street. There's a good variety of food, reasonably priced, good portions, well made and delicious. Also the staff is lovely.
My partner and I always feel like we're getting our monies worth here.

We had such a great dinner here tonight. Amazing value to be honest. I think our bill was $52 which was for two people including drinks! Very well presented dishes and the waiters were really helpful with suggestions. Highly recommend checking out this place :)

I literally always come to this place with my partner! We tried a large variety of dishes and they were always amazing, the food is just delicious! The Takoyaki are just the best. The service is not sophisticated but that adds to the charm of the place! Really love the food and floor staff, this place is a gem in Chapels Street.

Oishi kitchen by far is the best Korean BBQ or Korean sizzling plate of meals I have ever had in my life. I started eating Korean food back in Auckland NZ 20 years ago, and there were plenty of Korean restaurants over there but Oishi Kitchen has beaten them all. The boss cooks the meat/flavours to the perfection, while the lady chef is usually heavier in the flavours.

We go to Oishi quite often. It's a very simple, basic, but inviting environment. The food is delicious, the staff are always friendly and calm, and the prices are excellent.
Try - Hot Pot Bibimbad, Bulgogi Beef, Japanese Eel, Soon Do Bool and Mandoo. Really like these dishes.
Great for take away too during lock downs.

Our absolute favourite Korean restaurant in Melbourne! Quirky decor, welcoming staff (especially Min Gi 씨) and beautiful food that warms the soul. They’ll even play your favourite K-pop music, if you tell them that you’re a fan :)

Stumbled into this place while hungry at 10pm in an unfamiliar area. Been a regular ever since. Their pork BBQ is my favourite, but you really can't go wrong just closing your eyes and picking a random item from the menu.

Delicious authentic food with fresh ingredients. Had the creamy prawns and kimchi fried rice which was amazing. Agedashi tofu and karaage chicken was also very good. Recommend

Reasonably priced food in a cosy environment and also family friendly! We’ve enjoyed the Pork bulgolgi and our young kids loved the tonkotsu ramen very much!
