A beautiful place, a route takes about 3 hours, parked down a parking lot costs 4 Euros to all day and begin to go, through it is a lot with lots of stairs should be prepared for it. I do not have to rise to the end carried a beautiful waterfall from the middle of the road. A very powerful waterfall.

It's a long and tiring climb from the centre of Umhausen, but well worth the effort. If you don't like climbing, park your car at the top at the inn and walk down to the waterfall.

an impressive waterfall, the ascent to the top takes about an hour and a half and is free.
There are a few more attractions at the foothills, Ötzi Village & Birds of Prey Park, these are chargeable unless you have the Ötztal Summer Card which you get for free at many partner hotels (I recommend checking when booking your holiday) or you can buy it yourself at tourist information points. there is also a lake where you can swim on a hot day.

This majestic waterfall is truly a spectacular and thrilling natural place. It does not necessarily need to be fit to reach it. It is very close to Õtzi-Dorf so we visited both on the same day.

The climb is a bit hard, especially with children. We were able to go up until the first platform and didn't continue unfortunately. The stairs hanging over the waterfall looked awesome from bellow, and there was also a very nice place that you can use climbing gear to go over the river in a rope bridge. But even if it was a bit hard, I still recommend it, and if you are young and healthy you will be able to go all the way up and enjoy it fully.

The waterfall is just amazing. It is the largest waterfall in Tirol and one of the best waterfalls I've visited in Europe. We stayed in Niederthai which is only 8 minutes away. You can find water, woods and meadows framed by magnificent mountain panorama which is great for your vacation.
The facilities to see the waterfall from different views is just wonderful. You can climb from above the waterfall through many stairs and some small platforms and benches to take a rest and view the waterfall. You will see a lot of fantastic views. Then you reach the end of the waterfall, there are a lot of platforms to view it from the front. There is a big parking lot. The area around is good for a nice hike actually it's a paradise for hikers.
The ines who want to get very close can climb next to the water on a special via ferrata fixed-rope climbing route.
It's a family friendly area.
You don't need to buy a ticket to view the waterfall, it's totally free.
It's better to visit it when it's not raining.
Last but not least, it's not accessible for handicaps.

Beautiful hike to see a great waterfall. Some steps are hanging on the gorge so better not be afraid of heights. 5 platforms for great photos. Some will get you soaking wet! There is a separate via ferrata ti the other side, for which you will need technical equipment (helmet and safety harness).

Amazing waterfall. We started on the top and went down the stairs to find the waterfall which is always a lovely experience to find out all of a sudden. While going down, there are many places to stop and come close to the waterfall and feel the amazing strength of the water.

Great waterfall and free!
It takes 50 min from the parking to the start and than you have 5 platforms to view the waterfall.
To get to the top (platform 5) you need to clime about 700 stairs.

The nicest waterfall I have ever seen! If you are near, this is a must! Walking to the waterfall is not difficult at all - not steep, perfect for families with kids. The part with the bridge is not for people who are afraid of heights. Walking up is amazing, even though there can be a lot of people walking with you (it can be a bit annoying). walking on a bridge is for free :)

Absolutely incredible place/area/natural resort and the best part is that its completely free. You have to take a bunch of stairs but its totally worth it. There's also a Hängebrücke over there, which is not as long as highline 179 but pretty impressive none the less and also, FREE!

What a great experience. Long walk from the car park, but worth it. You must pay five euro to park between 6am and 6 pm. You could park in the village of umhausen and walk up.

What a beautiful place and so great for a hike! I am not an experienced hiker and it was fine for me. The beginning is pretty steep but after that you take the stairs to other platforms and there are plenty of spots to sit down and enjoy the view for some rest. Would recommend hiking all the way up and walk around for a bit more.

Stuibenfall Waterfall in Ötztal Valley. Stuibenfall is Tirol’s tallest waterfall and can be explored along a complex of trails and viewing platforms. Except the waterfall, the trial to the top, it is also an interesting experience 👌

After a 50 minute walk from the parking lot Umhausen, going up 600 stairs alongside one of Austria's longest (and most beautiful) waterfalls, you will reach "Stuibenfall" restaurant, which lies next to the river, has beautiful views of the Ötztaler mountains and serves delicious traditional food. We loved it here.
