Has everything for your kid!
Pool, large play room inside, a whole play barn, large outside playground and animals to feed.
Very friendly staff and 3min from ski hill (great for kids)
For the adults: great Sauna in the roof and Private Ski shuttle to Hochötz

Der Stern serves great food. A beautiful garden with a terras under the trees, when on the road in Austria, this is a great place make your stop and enjoy the hospitality. Great staff will help you out, rooms are great, should you consider spending the night. If you do eat meat, you have to try the goulash 😊

Such a well run hotel, excellent food and service. Build quality is second to none. Facilities are so good, indoor pool is a stunner.

What to say, found by chance returning from Germany by accident. Beautiful location unfortunately I could not try the services available but I suppose given the rest excellent. Room I would say 10 beautiful, spacious, very well cleaned with a beautiful panorama. Professional and pleasant staff. I could not try the restaurant but I assure you that the breakfast is 10+. Very good price quality. Compliments. I advise.

Fantastic, eco-friendly, generational family-run , Family Hotel.
They've converted the old stables into a kids' paradise! Complete with art rooms and a stargazing room built into the rafters.
There's a fully comprehensive children's programme and rental equipment available in kids sizes for hiking and the like.

The location is breathtaking and easy to get to from Innsbruck either by car or bus.

The pool and other amenities are modern but the interior of the bar and restaurant are traditional so you get the best of both worlds.

Stayed 5 nights with family in der Stern hotel. It was beyond my expectations.

Stayed for one night recently in Stern. It has a great blend of traditional Tyrolean touches, a welcoming, family atmosphere and tasty, locally sourced food. I had a chestnut risotto, washed down with the house "Zwickl" beer. It hit the spot! Breakfast buffet was also excellent.

We didn't have the kids with us, but from what we saw, there are lots of fun outdoor activities for them to get stuck into. Kids seemed to roam happily and be really relaxed. Staff are friendly and personable, the backdrop in Obsteig is simply stunning and we were lucky enough to stay there shortly after the opening of the new Eco swimming pool, which is top class and definitely gives you a backup option if the weather lets you down.

Warm, relaxed, family-friendly. We will 100% return with the kids!

For myself, simply stunning.
After a long day in 35 degrees temps, was refreshing to stop in cooler Austria, was on the top floor and able to park my vehicle directly under.
Breakfast superb with home made muesli.
The room, simply simple, gorgeous large shower, firm beds, lovely linen.
Wonder why I never stopped there before on my travels .

I stayed here with a party of 4 but also with a tour group over Xmas week. We all had an amazing stay and found the hotel very clean and the staff friendly. They could benefit from a bigger bar and more bar staff, but I believe that is coming in 2018.

However I must note that as a vegetarian I was not always catered for during the first 4 days at snack time and dinner, after much complaining we finally sorted it out for dinner only. There appeared to be a communication breakdown between Management, the Kitchen, Reception and serving staff. But once it was sorted the vegetarian food was very nice and well thought out. It was a shame this was not put into place from the beginning as we informed the hotel before we stayed and on out first day I was veggie. I did enjoy the breakfast daily which was delicious.

I am still scoring the hotel 5 stars as it was a family break and I can't fault much else. I certain didn't starve so not having a veggie option was not the end of the world. Our room was not one of the nicer rooms but it was very clean and bed and shower were excellent. There was some complaints from the group about misinformation from reception staff, but honestly I didn't care much about that. The Spar across the road is v handy and I would recommend going full or half board as there is not much happening in the town where the hotel is situated.

Wonderful staff, and we love the idea of the family hotel and all the offerings for the kids and adults, with the flexibility to be independent and do your own thing too. Rooms are snug (4th floor) for a family of 4 but you're not in them much.

Wonderful hotel! The team is always ready to help you and give you good advice for nice walk.
Room are spacious and comfortable and meals are excellent! We will come again for sure.

Nice place to eat with quality food and a great playground for the kids. They have ponies, goats and rabbits too... friendly, professional staff. Definitely one to recommend!
