Visiting the Ernst Fuchs Museum in Vienna was an unforgettable experience, largely thanks to the warm hospitality of the woman at the entry, a Canarian woman whose passion for her work truly shines through. From the moment we stepped in, her friendly demeanor made us feel welcomed and valued. Her deep knowledge of the museum and its exhibits added immense depth to our visit, as she enthusiastically shared insights and stories.

The Ernst Fuchs Museum itself is a treasure of art, with breathtaking works. If you're in Vienna and love art, a visit to the Ernst Fuchs Museum is a must.

¡Muchas gracias!

One of the significant places to visit for Wagner fans. Due to Ernst Fuchs the villa was preserved in a very good condition. Although the artist has redesigned a lot of rooms (bacicaly only one room remained untouched) the villa looks pretty authentic and super stylish. One more thing to mention is absolutely lovely and devoted personnel of the museum. I would recommend taking a guided tour.
To enter the museum you need to ring the bell.
Admission fee is 14€

Very beautiful house. I suggest visiting when there's good weather, so you can also enjoy the pavillon and the gardens and woods around the area. The inside is otherwise rather small, if gorgeous.

This is a wonderful building that showcases a combination of Viennese architecture, design and art history. Definitely a must see if you want to feel part of the history of the city.
The architectural style of Otto Wagner combined with Ernst Fuchs paintings and adaptations of the house and estate, mystical symbols, statues, interpretations of different mythical figures and a very unique view on life and the arts will definitely inspire you and give you some vibes you never felt before.
The location is very accessible by public transportation (bus). After you leave the station (Uranusweg) you only have to walk about 6-7 minutes through a beautiful area to get to the Villa.

A unique and marvelously beautiful place for the suckers for beauty. I would recommend visiting it in the summer so you can take a proper look on the pool and terrace. The person on the reception is very kind :)

One of the most unique museums I've attended.

Location is a little off the beaten path, but it's worth the trek (also, had to get off at a further bus stop, due to roadworks, but I assume that's just temporary).

The admittance indoors has a fee, but, once again, I wouldn't miss out on it.

Architect Otto Wagner's villa is now museum of Ernst Fuchs works. While adding the works they have retained and very well maintained the original villa with its furniture and gardens around. The sitting room has stained glass windows that are very charming. The bedroom has different design for bed.

For all architects and artists it's a worth visit if you have little time in Vienna. It takes almost one hour to reach there from the city centre using public transport. For me it was worth the effort.

Next to this villa there is this installation decorated using glass tiles. In the next compound there is a bungalow that was Otto Wagner's residence in art nouveau style. But this is not accessible for outsiders.

Such a unique museum in the outskirt of Vienna. You cannot find any other similar museum else where in Austria. The museum is small and may take you around maximum of 45' to see. Easily reach the museum by U4 and bus 52A/52B.

Okay this guy Fuchs! Art is super trippy and wild. The house had a very interesting history. If you are in the area recommend checking it out. There is a small admissions fee to get in. The grounds are cool and there is a small cafe.

A wonderful museum outside of the crowded turistic tour in a quite area of Vienna, in the woods! This was the sumemr house of Otto Wagner and after his death residence of Ernst Fuchs, Austrian artist. Just mesmerizing!

I do not know how to start.
It is one of the most special places on the planet.
It is not an overstatement.
It sounds as an overstatement but it is not.
Its 30minutes away from Schönbrunn Palace.
You take a metro for four stops and then a bus for another 3 stops and you arive in the mids of a wonderful location where there are no cohorts of turists.
The only other visitors we saw ware 3 members of a family.
The villa was constructed by Otto Wagner and it exudes "1900 Wien".
It was embelished by Ernst Fuchs - the austrian creator of the fantastic realism school of art.
And from here on...only some images can give you a more clear idea of why Dali was Fuchs's friend. Why Gaudi resonates through every piece of colour.
Entrance fee is 11€ (april 2019)

I didn't go inside, just viewed the buildings from outside.

Otto Wagner's buildings are all over Vienna, and his two villas, near the Wienerwald, are must-see for Wagner fans. Villa 1 is the more prominent, and features many of Wagner's art nouveau hallmarks. Some of the decorations were changed by artist Ernst Fuchs whose works tend to be a bit gaudier than Wagner's. Still, gorgeous buildings, similar in some ways to the Kirche am Steinhof.

Not top of the list for folks visiting Vienna, but if you live here I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. I personally hate a lot of Ernst Fuchs' work (he apparently helped inspire the whole airbush movement among Californian painters in the 80s, blaaaaaah), but the vast amount of stuff he created is truly impressive, as is the Villa itself. The lovingly detailed Hundertwasser-esque tileworks around the property alone are worth the visit.

Must have location for people who doesn't like tourists crowds. You may wander here for hours because of beautiful surrealistic architecture, interior and paintings exhibition.
