My experience here was absolutely incredible. Nice and polite host, a historic atmosphere and ambiance of this place. Also, I just loved the beef liver I was served that day. The idea of adding horseradish into the potato mash is just out of this world. This is just something I'll be doing myself when I cook it from this time forward, lol.

We had a blast in this restaurant, we enjoyed every moment spent there! The location was really comfortable and the table that we had was really huge for two people. They welcomed us with a little beef tartar. We took a mixed starter to share and they were kind and thoughtfully enough to already split it in two dishes. Everything was delicious. I then tried the liver and what a good plate it was, with a delicious sauce and onions to complete the taste. The schnitzel was also really good, fried to the perfection. Even the salad was delicious. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal food! Always a favorite when visiting.

I had a fantastic evening meal. For me, the wiener schnitzel was the highlight. Two cutlets of breaded veal cooked perfectly. And the waiters were friendly and helpful. A great find and one to definitely recommend.

We wanted a typical Austrian Gasthaus and this address didn't disappoint. Old/historic restaurant.
And the food! WOW
Starter a small salad with sunflower oil, tasty and with high quality products.
The main course was also delicious meatballs with potato puree.
Definitely worth a visit

Hands down the best food in town. Starting with the bread and spread. The kitchen gift, wine, and main course... everything was extremely delicious. If we could have fit more, we would have 15/10 everyone should go.

If you don't make a reservation for a but earlier for an early dinner and you might be OK.

Great service and great food! Before going to the restaurant I saw a comment on Google Maps saying that every bite of their food was a new discover. Honestly, I thought it was a bit too much, but when I tasted their food I completely understand what the person means, it is delicious indeed! Every day they offer a typical Austrian plate with reduced price, it is really worth the try!

Gasthaus Staunzerbauer totally exceeded our expectation, and we had a great surprise of how delicious traditional Austrian food can be!!! The restaurant received a lot of food awards, and really lives up to them. We had beef soup, salad, beef liver, assorted venison, creme brulee. Food was sourced locally and prepared with lots of hearts, and the presentation was great too. All the staff were very friendly, and great vibes. We had a very pleasant experience there!

Excellent little place, definitely worth a visit when you are in Graz. Delicious food in filling quantities, attentive and friendly service and rustic atmosphere. As it's not very big, it's better to reserve a spot (you can do this via their site) so you're not disappointed.
